Tyra Banks has lived much of her life in front of the lens.

However, when it comes to matters of the private, the model turned mogul has been fiercely protective.

Case in point with her son York.

The fashion icon and photographer boyfriend Erik Asla welcomed the youngster (who is biologically theirs) in January 2016 via a surrogate.

In the time since, she’s bounced back into work – returning to America’s Next Top Modeljoining America’s Got Talent, and producing ‘Life Size 2.’

However, breaking protocol, Banks shared the first picture of her 18th month old to mark the Father’s Day festivities.

Playfully writing the photo’s caption as her son, she posted the following message:

To all the amazing daddies out there that love their kids unconditionally like my mommy’s daddy and my daddy, too…HAPPY FATHER’S DAY!
-York?

Adorable!

Hello…is it me you’re looking for?

According to reports, that’s what legend Lionel Richie may be saying to producers of the rebooted ‘American Idol.’

For, sources close to the production claim that they are keen to sign the icon as a judge on ABC‘s version of the talent search.

Richie’s undeniable impact, hit catalogue, and demographic are being cited as some of the reasons he’s being courted.

If he did hop-aboard, he would join previously announced judge Katy Perry.

The latter’s astounding fee of (an alleged) $25 million is likely to be an unavoidable factor when hashing out Richie’s deal. Because logistically anything remotely close to what was given to Perry would render it near impossible for the show to be profitable.

Multiple sources have stressed that this issue directly affected negotiations with Idol’s longtime host Ryan Seacrest.

A series of deals were put on the table, yet the number took a dive when Perry’s humungous pay packet was confirmed. Reportedly insulted by whatever offer was presented to him at the time, Seacrest is said to have withdrawn. However, when ABC execs heard, they pulled out all the stops to secure him. Word on the curb is that he is back on-board and will be receiving somewhere in the ball-park of $10 million – $15 million.

Needless to say, the drama in the run-up to the show’s January 2018 return is proving quite titillating in itself.

Many seem willing to dismiss the Idol comeback – and the reasons are understandable.

However, for what it’s worth, we do feel Richie would be a great look.

In a dramatic turn of events, Bill Cosby‘s sexual assault trial has just ended – without a verdict.

The jury in the case were unable to reach a decision, as such a mistrial was declared.

Per reports, the jury deliberated for more than 5 days and on Friday told the judge they were deadlocked after 53 hours of deliberations. Thereafter, the judge pressured the jury to reach a decision by not allowing them to wrap up until 9:30 PM.

Ironically, the jury deliberated for more than 52 hours — which was longer than the entire trial.

Cosby, who has been accused of drugging and raping over 50 women, denies any wrongdoing.

Prosectors have promised that a re-trial will take place.

But until then, the actor is free …for now.

American Pop culture, as we all know, permeates attitudes, ideas and beliefs in nations near and far from U.S. borders.

One of these is Nigeria, home to the thriving Nollywood film industry. In the 90s and early 00s, the industry’s film pulled from hit soaps akin to ‘Sunset Beach‘ and ‘Day of our Lives’ to present its audiences with tales of love, lies, deceit and magic realism.

In the mid 00s, it pulled from one of Pop’s biggest “rivalries” to create one of its highest-selling releases to date.

Meet ‘Beyonce vs Rihanna‘ below…

The movie is loosely based on the singers’ supposed rivalry and sees the Ghanaian actress Nadia Buari portray “Beyonce”.

Quite interestingly, she would go on to star in several movies as characters loosely based on the Beyonce story.

Actor Keith Powers felt the stint of social media last night when he came under fire over controversial comments made in an interview.

Speaking to Hollywood Unlocked about speculation surrounding his private life, the ‘New Edition Story’ star said the most outlandish rumor he had heard was that he was bisexual.

He then proceeded to say that he doesn’t believe men can be bisexual:

Needless to say, the roasting commenced.

Remorseful, the 24-year-old took to Twitter to apologize. He said:

Well-worded apology. But is it too little or too late or should he be cut some slack?

Tamar Braxton has shared fresh thoughts on her feud with Toya Wright in an interview she hopes will build a bridge between them.

The ladies once shared a nemesis in K. Michelle who blasted Wright for accusing her of fabricating claims against Wright’s then-lover (and Michelle’s ex) Memphitz.

Who do you think is to blame for the drama?

The long-awaited Tupac biopic ‘All Eyez On Me’ finally landed in theaters today after battling years of hurdles – including the departure of not one but two directors.

However, the drama shows no signs of letting up.

Following questionable reviews and box office forecasts , actress Jada Pinkett Smith has hit out at the Benny Boom / LT Hutton production. She’s taken specific issue with the portrayal of her relationship with ‘Pac – someone she was close friends with.

Writing on Twitter moments ago, Smith said:

Yikes!

Opinion seems pretty divided; some are professing their love, while others are dragging for filth.

Another day, another drama for Chris Brown. And this time it centers around his ex Karrueche Tran.

The socialite turned Emmy winner scored a major legal victory today – succeeding in her bid for a restraining order against the singer in a Santa Monica court.

E! News confirm that Tran was awarded a five-year protection order from her 28-year-old ex who was not present for the hearing.

During proceedings, two voicemails Brown left for Tran were played – and they were not flattering. The ‘Back To Sleep’ belter reportedly reeled off successive curse words, threats and angry-offensive remarks to his former flame about rings he had gifted her and wanted back.

What’s more, in text messages from Brown submitted as evidence, he is said to have threatened to “beat the ****” out of her, claimed he would make her hate him “even more” if they were ever in the same place in public and told her that if she’s his enemy, he “won’t hold back so stay in your place.” In another message, he reportedly spewed, “I want my motherf–king rings back or I’m going to hurt your limbs.”

Another L for our boy Steve Harvey.

The actor/comic – whose 2017 has already been rocked by slams from critics of his support of President Donald Trump, commentary on women, jokes about Asians, and more – is adding a new set of enemies to that growing list:  Flint, MI residents.

As readers know, the city gained global attention after battling a water crisis that’s severely and negatively impacted the health of its residents – namely its children.  A sensitive situation for all involved, Harvey took time to make a joke about the matter, much to the chagrin of…umm…everybody!

See inside:

Needless to say, the commentary didn’t bode well with social media users – many of whom took to various platforms to roast the embattled comic.

In fact, even the mayor called for a public apology from Harvey.
