After a brief hiatus, ‘How To Get Away With Murder’ is back on January 26th  for the second half of its third season.

The legal drama, which stars Emmy winner Viola Davis, follows a group of ambitious law students and their brilliant criminal defence professor. Last season brought with it a countless list of twists and the newest instalment is already delivering a whole lot more.

BET’s impressive foray into scripted content reaches a new high this week following the release of a teaser from its new series ‘The Quad.’

In the series, Anika Noni Rose plays an enterprising doctor who becomes the president of an HBCU in Georgia as it prepares to welcome its first class.

Legendary film director Spike Lee (‘Do the Right Thing,’ ‘Malcolm X,’ ‘School Daze,’ etc.) is definitely of the school of thought that Grammy winning R&B singer Chrisette Michele did not do the right thing when she accepted a gig to perform at an inauguration special for president elect Donald Trump.

The gig, turned down by famed stage and recording star Jennifer Holliday (who is still being dragged on Twitter for even accepting it in the first place, was handed to Michele for a reported $750,000.  What the move also purchased Michele was an ongoing Twitter dragging and a removal from consideration for Lee’s forthcoming Netflix series.
