Author Judy Blume‘s classic 1975 novel ‘Forever‘ gets an updated take via a television adaptation at Netflix.
This time set in Los Angeles circa 2018, the forthcoming flick follows the love story of two Black teens who become each other’s first loves – a romantic tryst that will impact both athletes’ lives forever as pursuit of their careers threaten to tear them apart.
Executive produced by Mara Brock Akil (best known for creating ‘Girlfriends‘ and ‘Being Mary Jane‘), the Netflix series stars Lovie Simone, Michael Cooper Jr., Karen Pittman, Wood Harris, Xosha Roquemore, Marvin Lawrence Winans III, Barry Shabaka Henley, and more.
