Author Judy Blume‘s classic 1975 novel ‘Forever‘ gets an updated take via a television adaptation at Netflix.

This time set in Los Angeles circa 2018, the forthcoming flick follows the love story of two Black teens who become each other’s first loves – a romantic tryst that will impact both athletes’ lives forever as pursuit of their careers threaten to tear them apart.

Executive produced by Mara Brock Akil (best known for creating ‘Girlfriends‘ and ‘Being Mary Jane‘), the Netflix series stars Lovie Simone, Michael Cooper Jr., Karen Pittman, Wood Harris, Xosha Roquemore, Marvin Lawrence Winans III, Barry Shabaka Henley, and more.

The ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ are back for season 16, and the show is ushering in a brand new era.

After an extended rest on the bench, the beloved Bravo series has had a refresh – one that unites faces known and new.

For, this iteration of RHOA is anchored by Porsha Williams, Phaedra Parks, Drew Sidora, and Shamea Morton (who has been upgraded to a peach-holder). They appear alongside fresh newcomers Britt Eady, Kelli Ferrell, and Angela Oakley. 

Cynthia Bailey returns as a Friend of the Show, with Kenya Moore also appearing in a dramatic storyline that has already generated headlines in earnest.

Kerry Washington lit up The Breakfast Club this week in support of her upcoming movie ‘Shadow Force.’ 

Set to hit theaters May 9, the adrenaline-packed film, which co-stars Omar Sy, sees the multihyphenate balance acting and producing.

During the visit, she dished on the flick and much more.

Indeed, she gave flowers to Tyler Perry for believing in her dual talents, saying his support helped her embrace her behind-the-scenes power.

Washington waxed candid about her NAACP activism, the legacy of the ‘Six Triple Eight,’ and her role in ‘Unprisoned.’

She even weighed in on how Olivia Pope would handle today’s political chaos, stating:

“I don’t think she [Olivia Pope] be part of this government, I don’t think she would serve this administration.”
