One broke records and color barriers worldwide with an unmatched voice and stage presence while the other danced stages alight with a style all her own. Both, were gone too soon.

As a testament to the staying power of their legacies (and the unfillable voids left in their wakes), their music and names are still spun side by side with today’s top divas.  But, the ultimate ode to late pop/R&B divas Whitney Houston and Aaliyah may be coming in the form of long-awaited biopics.

As the “Queen of Biopics” Angela Bassett has been tapped to direct Whitney’s story for Lifetime, word has it Aaliyah’s is set for VH1.

It was definitely no laughing matter today when funnyman Kevin Hart‘s ex-wife Torrei Hart’s interview with Entertainment Tonight made headlines for her unceremonious slam of his current girlfriend Eniko Parrish.

Dishing with resident correspondent Rocsi Diaz in promotion of her new VH1-reality show ‘Atlanta Exes’, Torrei turned the conversation to Kevin and cited his current girlfriend as the reason for their divorce.

Labeling Parrish a homewrecker, Torrei even claims there were times she wanted to knock her out.  In response, Kevin went on a Twitter rant to vehemently deny his ex-wife’s accusations.  The result of this was an open letter published by Torrei online…that she tagged both Kevin and Eniko in.

Could this get any messier?

While one pushes the envelope with energetic stage shows, the other pushes her zipper with energetic p-patting on stage.  Be that as it may, that didn’t stop film directors from thinking the dynamic diva duo would make good cast mates for a new Dreamworks animated feature film.

Fans were delighted to hear reports that pop divas Rihanna and Jennifer Lopez were set to join forces with comedy legend Steve Martin for the new film ‘Home,’ originally set for a November 2014 release.

Now, however, if reports to are to be believed, JLovers and #Navy enlistees will have to wait a while longer for that ship to sail into theaters:

The divas of Devious Maids are back for a second round of drama-filled antics.

Conceived by Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry and executive produced by Eva Longoria, the spicy dramedy follows the lives of five maids who work for the wealthy residents of Beverly Hills.

With the both workers and their bosses housing a host of secrets, season 2 of the hit Lifetime series promises to be its most scandalous yet.

‘The Real Housewives Of Atlanta’ may have recently wrapped its latest season, yet the fireworks are expected to continue — thanks to Kandi Burrus, husband Todd Tucker, and the now infamous Mama Joyce.

As earlier reported, this June will see Bravo air a spin-off series ‘The Real Housewives Of Atlanta: Kandi’s Wedding’.

The aptly titled mini-series will follow the mogul in the run-up to her big day and revisit the Mama Joyce/Todd conflict that had viewers glued to their screens during the ”Housewives’ recent run.

So as to build buzz, the trio stopped by The View today – dishing on what fans can expect from their show, as well as the status of their collective relationship.
