Readers of That Grape Juice know how passionate we are about music – whether that be past or present.

However, unlike our other segments – Retro Rewind, TGJ Replay, and From The Vault – The Pop Stop is the most in-depth look at Pop songs that may have flown under the radar over the last week that you should know, rather they be from music’s biggest stars or those on the rise.

This week, we want to highlight cuts from Demi Lovato, Olivia Rodrigo, ELIO, and Saint Raymond.

All roads lead to April 9 for Taylor Swift, who will be releasing the “new” version of her sophomore album ‘Fearless.’

As reported, the Pop force is re-vocalizing much of her catalogue after her original masters were sold by her former label – the fall-out of which we have covered extensively on That Grape Juice

In a bid to claw back agency over her music, Swift has embarked on the journey of recording the material anew.

With ‘Fearless’ first up, the singer has unveiled the lengthy tracklist featuring a number of previously unheard “From The Vault” cuts – which themselves feature guests such as Maren Morris and Keith Urban.

After blazing ‘Kimmel’ with performances of their latest singles over the last two weeks (as we reported here), fans of chart-topping singers Gwen Stefani and Jazmine Sullivan were given even more of a peek at their respective live sets via ‘Pandora Live: Powered by Women.’

Hosted by EMMY-winning anchor Hoda Kotb, the event came as the ultimate musical salute for Women’s History Month 2021 and also included special appearances from the likes of Becky G and Lauren Alaina.

In addition to rocking the house with her latest hit ‘Pick Up Your Feelings,’ Sullivan stunned with a dynamic delivery of her other ‘Heaux Tales’ tune ‘Girl Like Me’ as well as previous hit, ‘Let It Burn.’  Elsewhere during the show, Stefani sizzled with ‘Let Me Reintroduce Myself,’ ‘Hollaback Girl,’ and even rocked the house with the iconic No Doubt hit, ‘Don’t Speak.’

If there’s anything more talked about than Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake‘s 2004 Super Bowl performance, it’s the aftermath.

And in recent years much of the critique has fallen at the feet of JT, who has been slammed for leaving the legend out to dry by pressing on with his career unscathed while making no mention of the forces at play that impacted Jackson’s trajectory.

So loud has the backlash been of late that in February Timberlake issued a public apology to the Pop queen and cited racism and sexism as variables his privilege ensured he wasn’t affected by.

And while the diva may have scored a hit with ‘Feedback,’ she didn’t offer JT anything of the sort following his declaration.

Now, his manager has allegedly weighed in.

Lil Nas X is one of few artists who can boast seeing his first four singles certified Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) – especially ahead of delivering a debut studio album.

But, thanks to the ongoing success of his controversial new hit, ‘Montero’ (the title track from his summer 2021-due debut LP), the GRAMMY winner is well on his way to nabbing a fifth Platinum plaque and his second Hot 100 #1 single.
