Queen of Funk Chaka Khan led a royal, star-studded lineup of performers for CNN’s inaugural ‘Juneteenth: a Global Celebration for Freedom’ concert Sunday (June 19).

Airing live from Los Angeles’ famous Hollywood Bowl, the performance roster included the likes of Earth, Wind & Fire, Mary Mary, Michelle Williams, Khalid, Ne-Yo, Bell Biv Devoe, Yolanda Adams, and notably the renowned all-Black symphony orchestra Re-Collective Orchestra (conducted by Thomas Wilkins and Derrick Hodge with musical direction from Adam Blackstone and Questlove).

A most fitting toast to the federal holiday which commemorates the official end of slavery in the U.S., look inside if you missed any of the action when it first aired.

Doja Cat‘s third studio album, ‘Planet Her,’ is not only still in orbit around the Billboard 200’s top 20 nearly a year after its release but it’s also still managing to spin out hits on the Billboard Hot 100.

The 26-year-old, who is currently in recovery after a tonsil surgery prompted the cancellation of her summer touring plans, is enjoying the fruit of the hard work she put in up to that point as her name is mentioned five times on the current Hot 100 – three in the top 40 alone.

As if placement at #14 alongside Post Malone (‘I Like You’) and #23 with her ‘Planet Her’ hit ‘Woman’ aren’t enough to boast about, another gem from the LP – ‘Get Into It (Yuh)’ – has broken into the top 40 for the first time since its March premiere.

Chris Brown shares a ‘Warm Embrace’ from none other than Normani in the video for his like-titled new single.

The pair serve up scintillating chemistry in the steamy visual – the latest to be lifted from Brown’s incoming tenth album ‘Breezy’ (due this Friday, June 24).

Bad Bunny is hot on the promotional trail.

Case in point, the acclaimed rapper has just unleashed his latest music video. This time around, it is for his song, ‘Me Porto Bonito.’ 

In the colorful clip, Bad Bunny can be seen washing vehicles. Elsewhere, he is also seen with several women in bathing suits.

The video arrives after he previously shared clips for his songs, ‘Tití Me Preguntó’ and ‘Moscow Mule.’ All three songs appear on his recently released ‘Un Verano Sin Ti’ album. The project debut at #1 on the Billboard 200 chart and became the longest-reigning all-Spanish-language album (as we reported here).

After much anticipation, it is finally here.

For, FKA Twigs has just unleashed her most recent song, ‘Killer.’ She wrote the song with Jimmy Napes, Amanda Ghost, and Jonny Coffer. As for who produced the track, that honor belongs to FKA twigs and Coffer and has additional production by El Guincho. 

Across the grooving beat, she sings:

“Dancin’ in the dark, I can feel it in my heart, you’re a killer / But I didn’t wanna call it / Something in the way you put your hands on my waist, pulled me nearer / No, I never wanna call it.“

‘Killer’ arrives after she released the mixtape ‘Caprisongs’ earlier this year. The project contained such as songs as: ‘Honda,’ ‘Oh My Love,’ and ‘Papi Bones.’

Beyonce is back and she’s taking command of the dancefloor with her brand new single ‘Break My Soul.’

The song, which was announced earlier today (June 21), serves as the lead release from Queen Bey’s seventh studio album ‘Renaissance’ (due July 29).

Recent weeks have seen the thirst for new music from the megastar reach fever pitch after the singer mysteriously removed her profile picture across all of her social media channels.
