Buzzworthy producer-songwriter Y2K is seeing that buzz go into overdrive thanks to assistance from GRAMMY-winning powerhouse JoJo.

The acts teamed for the latter’s new single, ‘Damage is Done’ (released July 30), and are already winning rave reviews for the collaboration.

Recently unveiling its animated, Morgan Freed-directed music video, the cinematic affair mirrors the emotional tug of the song’s lyrics (which tells of the end of a relationship).

“Don’t waste your breath / Saying sorry / Already made up my mind / If you really / Wanted me then / You know you’d still be mine,” they sing.

As his inaugural Hot 100 chart-topper ‘Rockstar’ (featuring Roddy Ricch) enjoys its 7th week atop the tally, DaBaby is looking to return its parent album – ‘Blame It On Baby’ – to #1 on the Billboard 200.

Taking to social media recently, the 28-year-old (born Jonathan Kirk) revealed his third album has been beefed up and will revisit digital shelves in the form of a ‘deluxe edition.’

Mariah Carey continues to prove she is a generous queen.

To carry on with the 30th anniversary of her debut album, Mimi released two new remix EPs for her songs ‘Emotions’ and ‘Make It Happen.’ 

Both songs appeared on the Songbird Supreme’s second LP, ‘Emotions.’ As with her previous offerings, both EPs contain a mix of rare and unreleased material.

Last week she dropped her first round of remix EPs, with ‘Someday’ and ‘All In Your Mind,’ (as we reported here).

Chloe x Halle added a little spice to their latest performance of ‘Do It.’

The singing sisters delivered a dynamic showing of their burgeoning R&B hit at the GLAAD Awards. 

Dressed as two-fifths of the Spice Girls, the Parkwood pair were joined by regal Queens Naomi Smalls, Vanessa Vanjie, and Mayhem Miller.

Beyonce is full of surprises!

Because as fans count down the minutes to the premiere of visual album ‘Black Is King’ on Disney+, the superstar has unwrapped a shiny new deluxe edition of ‘The Lion King: The Gift.’

The move is notable given that the incoming film is based on the music from the critically acclaimed compilation – which features a lengthy list of African collaborators such as WizKid, Tiwa Savage, Shatta Wale, Yemi Alade, and Burna Boy. Also present are the likes of Kendrick Lamar and Jay-Z.

For the beefed up version, Bey has added three bonus tracks – ‘Black Parade’ in original and extended form, as well as a Melo-X remix of fan favorite ‘Find Your Way Back.’
