‘No Guidance’ singer Chris Brown is looking to guide music lovers’ attention back to his ninth solo album, 2019’s chart-topping ‘INDIGO.’

The 32-song effort, which also features the hit, ‘Heat,’ has seen buyer interest cool – a feat marked by its drop out the Billboard 200’s top 40 last month.

In an bid to reignite it, the Grammy winner took to Instagram recently to announce he was hard at work on a short film to support the Platinum-certified LP.

‘The Man’ – the fourth single from Taylor Swift‘s blockbuster 2019 album ‘Lover’ – can’t exactly boast the fanfare its predecessors have on the charts despite a live performance visual and a recent official music video to support it.

Despite peaking at #23 on the Hot 100 on its merit alone, the previously mentioned clips lifted in its promotion have failed to hoist it back to its personal summit or higher.

In an effort to turn the tide on the Joel Little-produced cut, Swift’s unveiled a behind the scenes look at its socially conscious music video (which she also directed).

When it comes to playing double duty in front of and behind the scenes, there is arguably no other singer-songwriter this century who can boast the critical and commercial acclaim Ne-Yo has.  In addition to penning top hits for some of the industry’s biggest stars, the early part of his career saw that penmanship lend himself a few chart-toppers as well.

However, as the latter half of his tenure has seen success wane, the Grammy winner (born Shaffer Smith) – as revealed in a recent sit-down with Joe Budden‘s Web series ‘Pull Up’ – opted to take time off to regroup.  Over the course of that hiatus, he dealt with a highly publicized split from wife Crystal Smith (as we reported here).

That incident not only inspired his latest single, ‘Pinky Ring’ featuring O.T. Genasis (click here to listen), but a wealth of the content found aboard his forthcoming album, the yet-titled follow-up to 2018’s ‘Good Man’ – his worst performing LP to date.

The quote above, lifted from Katy Perry‘s recent chat with Australia’s NOVA FM, references the singer’s latest single, ‘Never Worn White.’

Released March 5, ‘White’ instantly shot to the top of digital sales tallies around the world (as we reported here) – a response we’re sure was the impetus for the diva’s global push of the tune.  Pursuing promotional opportunities in the United Kingdom and Australia (where she also brought down the house at the Women’s World Cup on International Women’s Day), the diva’s day of radio, Web, and television interviews culminated when she took to ‘The Project’ (March 10).

In addition to becoming her 16th top 10 hit, its arrival on charts also comes as a history-making feat as it makes her only the second female to date to have nabbed a top 10 single in each of the last three decades (2000s, 2010s, 2020s).
