Is Jay Z about to drop a new album?

It’s increasingly looking like the media mogul is on the cusp unveiling…something.

Earlier this week, rumors hit the mill about a Jigga reveal when mysterious ‘4:44’ image begun appearing on billboards and taxis across his home-state of New York.

Now, the biggest clue has arrived in the form of a star-studded commercial that aired moments ago during the NBA Finals.

The TV spot featured Oscar winners Mahershala Ali and Lupita N’yongo, as well as the legendary Danny Glover. Check it out…

While some may scream “conjecture,” note the TIDAL x Sprint branding at the end? As reported, the phone giant bought a sizeable percentage of the streaming service and have promised major roll-out’s imminently. A release from the man in charge would definitely fit that bill.

What’s more, timeline-wise, the debut of a new Mr Carter project would certainly make sense given the slew of summer festival dates he has on the horizon.

Are you amped for new music from Jigga?

Your thoughts?

Sometimes all you can say is damn (assuming you can even say anything).

That was our sentiment after Toya Wright popped ALL THE WAY OFF on Tamar Braxton on social media recently. Did you miss any of the action? It awaits below:

As fans of the Grammy-nominated Braxton know, she took to Instagram to apologize to Tiny for the recent demise of their friendship.  She didn’t waste any time throwing a few jabs at Toya in the process:

Ya know I’ve been thinking although I don’t feel like social media is the best place to work out personal issues…sometimes it can be the most effective way to get your love ones attention. I love you guys and Tiny, you…since I was 19 years old. I would have never dreamed that NONE of us would be in this position. Against public perceptions we know it’s NOT because of that show or lies that paperback Toya has said or anyone else who has had something to say about the disagreement you and I have had… because it’s simply OUR personal disagreement. I love you and all my God babies (all the kids) with all of my heart and you know this. I also love your husband @troubleman31 because he is my family also. How about we ALL sit down and talk and declare our new Love and mutual respect for each other and I’ll pay for and sing at your new vowel renewal ceremony. Life is too short and I’m ok with ignoring single, miserable hateful friends who WANT to see you and I at odds and instigating feuds with you and your husband. How about we all come together let it all go and bring you two who were the closest to me and two people who share so much love TOGETHER lean on each other to bring things back together again. who said it will be easy but Love and forgiveness is easier than being mad and full of hate. So with that all being said @majorgirl I’m sorry for my part in the hurt and want to have my best friend AND her family Including all of our kids and TIP all back together again…

And, while Tiny accepted the apology, Toya would hear none of it and offered a stinging clapback:

Paperback Toya?? Really Bitch??! What does your non-sincere apology and fake ass public outreach have to do with me?? You are THE fakest bitch I know. You wrote all of that pathetic, attention seeking bullshit but you conveniently forgot to tell them why ur REALLY mad?? Speak up l…tell em why you and your so-called best friend of 19 years fell out. Why didn’t you tell them how petty you really are? What type of bitch gets mad because a friend posts a birthday message about another friend?? I have your answer tho  — the same petty ass bitch that got mad At EVERYONE who went on the real talk show that she was FIRED from. I’m sick of you popping off on everybody and then playing victim with yo over the top under the table ass. You talk shit about your own sisters! U a disrespectful, disloyal, jealous attention fiend. Your desire to be front and center and have all the attention even spilled over into to the church! People trying hear the Lord’s word and you want the people to watch u work! Fake ass praise! Fuck You all days and all ways Tamar!
Love always,
Paperback Toya . My new book will be dropping in July! #ihavetimetoday #iapologizetomyfollowers #shekeepplayingwithme #sometimethenolahavetocomeout

Ouch! Was Toya Wright right to clap back so viciously?

Say what you will about Rihanna, but there’s no critiquing her charitable flair.

Earlier this year, the 29-year-old’s Clara Lionel Foundation and Global Citizen visited Malawi, one of the poorest countries in the world.

Their aim?

To stress the necessity of strong education systems that ensure the world’s most impoverished children can enjoy a high quality education.

The visit was filmed and RiRi has shared online. Check it out…

Much respect to Ms. Fenty for using her platform for good.

Azealia Banks is on the verge comeback.

Far removed from her controversies of yesteryear, the Hip-House wonder now finds herself swimming in adoration following the release of her latest number ‘Chi Chi.’

After watching the Hip-Hop effort impact several iTunes tallies overseas (via pure sales) she took to Twitter to reflect on its promising run and to share the positive messages it had garnered.

The rapper is still hard at work on her ‘Fantasea II: The Second Wave’ studio effort and the roll out for her collaboration with the rapper Safaree.

How do you feel about Azealia’s return?

Nicki Minaj isn’t the only New Yorker on her way to rocking 2017 with a new album.

Five years removed from his last LP ‘Life is Good’ is her love interest Nas who has revealed that its follow-up is set to spin into retailers very soon.

In an interview with ‘The New York Times’ he was asked how far away he was from completing the project.

His response?

Two weeks. I always say I’m two weeks away from finishing.

He went on to add:

It’s like Frank Sinatra. I listen to him because he speaks to me. Frank’s thing is just speak about life, and it resonates with everyone. When I’m in here, I’m conscious of that.

A release date for Nasir’s 11th studio effort is yet to be announced.

As rising stars go, few are burning as bright as SZA.

And this week she’s gearing up to blaze rays of new music in the form of her debut album ‘CTRL.’

Arriving this Friday (via TDE/RCA), the hotly anticipated set has been earmarked as one of R&B’s most notable releases.

Hitting the promotional pavement in support of the project, the songstress stopped by The Breakfast Club on Power 105.1.

A fascinating insight into an exciting talent, SZA dished on her LP, the romantic experiences that form much of its subject matter, label drama, losing 200lbs, being a practising muslim, and much more.

Check out the full interview below. It’s a great watch.

Smith’s new album is yet to bag a due date and, should it drop before this year’s Grammy deadline, will be forced to go head to head with releases from the likes of Ed Sheeran, Katy Perry and Kendrick Lamar.

It’s finally time for Sevyn Streeter.

With just days separating Katy Perry‘s fans from her fifth studio album, ‘Witness,’ the singer’s promo charge can be expected to go into overdrive.  Her latest bid to build awareness of the project is the delivery of a behind the scenes look at the Migos-assisted ‘Bon Appetit,’ the second single from her forthcoming project.

Dishing on the themes and symbolism found throughout the visual, Perry continues to shove the song down music lovers’ throats  share the song with listeners worldwide with hopes of helping it exceed its current Billboard Hot 100 peak of #59.  Will this refreshed look refresh appetites for the tune?

‘Blow’ beauty Ke$ha suffered quite a blow to her ego last night when she was awkwardly denied a hug by famed comedian Jerry Seinfeld.   The actor/comic was on hand at last night’s “A Night of Laughter and Song” at the Kennedy Center, in Washington, D.C.

Working the red carpet, Seinfeld was interrupted in the middle of an interview by the chart-topping singer who asked him for a hug.  She was politely denied…repeatedly. As the video made its rounds, her fans – affectionately called #Animals – weren’t exactly pleased with the television star.  In fact, some even demanded he offer Ke$ha an apology while others hurled insults and threats…24 hours after the incident.

TLC reminisce on the good ole days in the video for ‘Way Back’ – the lead single from their self-titled final album (due June 30th).

The chilled clip is notable in that it’s the group’s first visual in over 14-years. It’s also the premiere “look” at how donations to their much-discussed Kickstarter campaign are being used to fund their last campaign.

We’d say so far so good.

Check out the Snoop Dogg assisted vid below and let us know if you agree…

TLC’s days of high-octane choreography and being ‘CrazySexyCool’ may be in rearview, but cute songs and visuals like this serve as a great dessert to the satisfying main course that was their 90s peak.
