Released to stellar reviews on July 23rd the Rihanna inspired project is set to debut on the Billboard 200 with 100,000 units- flaunting songs penned by Toby Gad (‘Big Girls Don’t Cry‘) and Stargate (‘Unfaithful‘).

While at the Telenor Arena, the seasoned hit maker praised the country for their contribution to her success, via the ‘Irreplaceable‘ producers that are Stargate, who hail from the nation.

Not since the heights reached by Missy Elliott and Lauryn Hill has a female Rapper enjoy sales that see her go to to toe-and at times outsell- her Pop star contemporaries.

This time around, that female Rapper is none other than ‘Envy’ maestra Nicki Minaj whose debut album ‘Pink Friday‘ continues to solidify her time atop her field even three years after release.

For, with 3.8 million units worldwide, the album is now officially one of the highest selling albums of the decade- celebrated in a tally which showcases US sales moved since 2010.

Of course, while this decade has seven years to go before it ends, the list below tells many an interesting tale and – in Nicki‘s case- explain why the likes of Pepsi, MAC and Fox have all been so eager to nab a piece of her commercial pie.

Earlier this month, Pop star maker Jay Z took to NYC’s Pace Gallery to shoot the performance art flick, ‘Picasso Baby’.

While there, he delivered a performance of the ‘Magna Carta Holy Grail’ jam in the company of Art enthusiasts and A-listers and now- one week before it premieres in full on Friday August 2nd at 11 pm- the icon unveils its trailer.

Lady Gaga continues her onslaught of nude promo via the latest snap (seen above) lifted to her Twitter handle.

Sending fans into a swift frenzy, the Mother Monster sits atop a throne of motherboards while showing off her thigh tattoo, wearing nothing but interesting eyewear and dark shoes.  Accompanied by the tweet, “1ST SINGLE FROM ARTPOP COMES AUG.19 #24DAYS”, the tune – rumored to be titled ‘Applause’ – has already seen its Inez & Vinoodh-directed video shot.

And, while faithful monsters await its live unveiling at the MTV Video Music Awards on August 25th, we, like them, anxiously await more news on the single in the coming days.

Next to GaGa‘s Troy Carter, Rihanna‘s manager Jay Brown stands tall as one of the only managers to get it right…all the time.
