Whoa lover!

Rihanna turned the heat all the way up in downtown LA yesterday, when she arrived for a photo shoot alongside her bodyguard.

Shot by Terry Richardson, the 24 year old arrived at the set sporting a seductive fit, days before she’s set to score a UK Pop #1 with the single ‘Stay’, and days after sales of her new LP ‘Unapologetic‘ reached the 2,118,000 mark worldwide- three months after its launch.

Ever keen on keeping the masses abreast of fresh and/or often underrated talent, That Grape Juice presents ‘The Spill’ – a renewed look at not-so-new, yet active, acts.

Much like its ‘Freshly Squeezed’ sister segment, this revived assay aims to put the magnifying glass on talents who may not appeal to the buying public on a broad scale yet are still serving material that could easily spin side-by-side with some of today’s top hits.

Covering a kaleidoscope of genres, ‘The Spill’ is set to feature some names you probably know and love as well as some you’ll (soon) be glad to know.  Click below to find out the spill on Stacey Barthe, ‘Sailing Souls’ songstress Jhene Aiko, and multi-talented crooner Kevin McCall...

Fans of ‘Dive In’ divo Trey Songz know he’s currently making a splash at box offices worldwide on his ‘Chapter V’ world tour (featuring Miguel & Elle Varner).

As recent pit stops have seen him on our side of the pond, Songz was spotted this week with the U.K.’s Tim Westwood to dish on the tour, his latest album, venture into movies, and more.

Never one to hold back, when quizzed on his buried beef with R&B king R. Kelly, the ‘Panty Droppa’ dropped info on the real reason he was ‘frustrated’ with Kellz – citing the ‘Bump N’ Grind’ crooner’s use of autotune among reasons for his frustration.

The Big Game is almost here!

And while the match is one topic, it’s this year’s commercials that are a hot topic. Easily, Coca-Cola‘s serves as our favourite of the bunch.

The interactive campaign pits a familar cast of characters—the Cowboys, Badlanders and Showgirls— against each other, with each battling it out (desert-style) to win the ice-cold refreshment.

Fans get to decide, in real-time, who wins, with the winning “finish” being screened as the concluding part of Coke’s Big Game ad. Cool, right?

As relayed, That Grape Juice have already cast our vote for the Cowboys; and with voting ending tomorrow (February 3rd 2013), be sure to…

14-time Grammy winner Alicia Keys rang in her 32nd birthday by gifting fans with brand new version of her latest single ‘Brand New Me’. The  empowering piano ballad’s remix sees Keys’ spin a funked up revamp with samples of Crystal Waters’ 1991 hit ‘Gypsy Woman’ .

And, with the addition of rap newcomer A$AP Rocky to the track, the singer is now lifting an accompanying visual featuring husband/producer Swiss Beatz and actress/singer Jada Pinkett-Smith.

See more snaps from the set below (via ConcreteLoop):

The news surfaces just a day before Alicia Keys is set to perform the ‘Star Spangled Banner’ at Superbowl XLVII and a week before she takes the Grammy stage.

Your thoughts?

As fans know, Hip Hop hitmakers Frank Ocean and Chris Brown were involved in a fisticuffs earlier this week that resulted in injury for both parties (with insults to follow).

And, as news swarmed headlines that Ocean was considering pressing charges against Brown for the injuries he sustained, now it seems the ‘Thinking ‘Bout You’ star is thinking of another resolution.

Taking to Tumblr, Ocean shared his thoughts through a penned letter addressing the situation and its aftermath.  Read and weigh in below:

With Little Mix set for a US invasion this Spring, the Brit-Pop belles are being sure (and smart) to water their UK roots.

With Beyonce‘s hotly anticipated Super Bowl Half-Time performance but a day away, what better than the present to countdown our top five performances at the Big Game?!

With rumours of Destiny’s Child reunion at tomorrow’s Super Bowl now at boiling point, Kelly Rowland did little to quench the speculation.

The singer, whose new single ‘Kiss Me Down Low’ hit iTunes this week, looked all sorts of lush as she attended (and hosted) ESPN magazine’s NEXT event in New Orleans (home of tomorrow’s Half-Time extravaganza).

It’s a fair guesstimate that Ms. Kelly will be taking to the stage with bandmates Beyonce and Michelle Williams in a mere 24 hours. Exciting times, right?

For now, though, peep more pictures below…

For Rihanna, having Roc Nation and Def Jam in her corner has seen her become-whether one likes it or not- one of the world’s greatest Pop stars.

So, now that he can boast of having the same combination, it’s no wonder Elijah Blake is fast becoming the breakout act of 2013, on course to break ground originally carved by Def Jam sibling, Frank Ocean.

Now watch as he speaks to the Power 106’s Yesi Ortiz on his debut EP ‘Bijoux 22 and his debut album’s lead single, ‘Come Away‘ featuring Big Sean.

R&B’s future below…
