Last night saw the 2014 MOBO Awards take place at London’s famed Wembley Arena.

Now in its nineteenth year, the annual ceremony celebrates the best in Music Of Black Origin – both in the UK and Internationally.

With a host of major names up for awards this year, who bagged what?

Well, soulful crooner Sam Smith led the list of winners by taking home a whopping four awards. Jessie J and Beyonce also won in major categories too.

Vocal powerhouse Jessie J showcased her potent pipes last night at the 2014 MOBO Awards at Wembley Arena.

Broadcast live on ITV2, the ceremony – which celebrates Music Of Black Origin – saw the 26-year-old kick off festivities with a fire-filled performance of ‘Bang Bang’ and ‘Burnin’ Up’ – both lifted from her third album ‘Sweet Talker’. Interestingly, rapper Kid Ink joined J on the latter.

As Brit-bred talent goes, Rebecca James is honesty personified.

Since blowing away the judges (aged just 14) with her rendition of Christina Aguilera‘s ‘You Lost Me’ at the UK Open Mic competition, she’s gone on to establish a firm foundation on the live circuit and has even performed at London’s iconic O2 Arena.

Now, with her new album due for release next year, James has unwrapped her latest jam ‘1000 Roses’.
