This is shaping up to be some awards show!

Indeed, joining the previously reported performers John Legend and Fantasia, news has surfaced that ‘Trust & Believe’ beauty Keyshia Cole will be hitting the 2012 Soul Train Award stage.

The addition to the roster, which will also include Ne-Yo, Anthony Hamilton, 2 Chainz, Gladys Knight, Elle Varner, Raphael Saadiq, and Marcus Canty (among others).  As previously reported, this year’s showing will honor 80s boyband New Edition.

She’s Pop’s brightest star, and now-in support of her #1 album ‘ORA‘, Rita Ora performed her new single ‘Shine Ya Light’ for ITV’s Lorraine today.

Taking to the show hours after performing on the ‘X Factor UK’, the singer delivered a smaller showing of the release, which will mark the fourth single to be released from the LP.

The above mark only three groundbreaking movies to star the incomparable Sidney Poitier, who was honored in the Bahamas last night in celebration of his own career, and the Island’s 40th year of independence from British rule.

Joining Oprah Winfrey at the Paradise Island event was Jennifer Hudson, who arrived to tribute the 85 year old actor with her own single ‘Spotlight’ and a Whitney Houston medley, in honor of the late singer.

Tonight marks the return of BET’s highly anticipated ode to women of color ‘Black Girls Rock’.

Much like its ‘BET Honors’ counterpart, the event is set to showcase some of music’s best and brightest performers to serenade and shine light on women of color who have made impacts on their respective personal and professional communities.

Airing moments ago, the Tracee Ellis Ross / Regina King – hosted showing, taped October 13 at New York City’s Loews Paradise Theatre, honored actress Kerry Washington (‘Scandal’) and songstresses Alicia Keys and Dionne Warwick as well as featured performances from the likes of Ciara, Brandy, Keyshia Cole, India Arie and more.

For many a TLC fan, the above songs stand just as powerful today as they did upon their respective releases… a testament to the group’s skill and conviction as both performers and vocalists.

So last night, in honor of their place in entertainment history and ever moving story, the group were honored with the Outstanding Contribution To Music award at the MOBO awards, which celebrates acts inspired by, or who pull from, Music Of Black Origin.
