Christmas time is nigh, which -for the charts- spells an influx of new Holiday releases.

Songbird Leona Lewis features on the year’s line-up, with her as-yet-untitled festive set due for a December 2nd release.

And while details surrounding the project, which follows last year’s ‘Glassheart’, has been shrouded in secrecy, Lewis herself shared a shot from the video set of the LP’s first single on Instagram. Check it out above.

As Holiday albums go, few resonate with us and even those that do often have a limited shelf-life. However, it’ll be interesting to see if Leona can follow in the footsteps of idol Mariah Carey, whose Xmas albums are so good they’re playable all-year-round. Hopefully, she can, as it’ll create a clearer pathway for the more traditional album that will inevitably follow.

It's all new everything for soulful songbird Melanie Fiona.

For, after acquiring critical acclaim with major label efforts 'The Bridge' and  'The MF Life' (released in 2009 and 2012 respectively), the Canadian bred talent has departed Universal Music – the juggernaut that houses the label she'd been signed to, Universal Republic.

The 30-year-old made the revelation during a recent interview with Billboard, who she spoke at length with about her next move – which interestingly involves Pepsi and Urban force Complex.

Nicki Minaj upped her promo ante for her ‘Kmart’ ‘Nicki Minaj Collection’ last week, arriving on the Queen Latifah to explain the line’s premise to the mogul and her ever rising audience.

Was their conversation as moving as its teaser would have had us believe last week?

It was. In fact, it’s far better than any of us could have expected, seeing both ladies get on like a house on fire and Minaj winning over the aforementioned audience with the endearing personality the likes of ‘Ellen’ and ‘George Lopez’ have had the pleasure of working alongside in years gone by.
