In other Ciara news, it appears there has either been a change of plans on her label’s end regarding the premiere of new single ‘Ride’or the source-cited by her usually-reliable fansites may have been inaccurate. While many a fan sat waiting in vein at their radios yesterday, expecting to hear the song, That Grape Juice reached out to her label Jive to get to the bottom of the situation. Interestingly, the label informed us that they knew nothing at all of a planned ‘Ride’ premiere for yesterday. Even more confusing, Ciara’s usually-active Twitter was silent yesterday, with no updates posted. Kinda has us thinking the whole thing may be a buzz-generating plan; smart, yet one which could easily backfire, should the song not deliver.

Still, with an anticipated iTunes release date of April 20th, it can’t be long until the Ludacris-assisted cut makes its debut.

In a recent interview with VIBE, R&B crooner Ginuwine hit out at former mentor Timbaland. The 39 year old expressed his displeasure at being shunned by the hitmaker when recording his most recent LP, ‘A Mans Thoughts’, which debuted at #9 on the Billboard 200 last June.

Some visitors will remember Ginuwine, along with Timbaland, Missy Elliott, and the late Aaliyah, were a clique of sorts back in the 90’s. Now, it appears relationships are fractured to say the least.

Despite her regular mentions of ‘disco sticks’ and all-round provocativeness, Pop eccentric Lady GaGa has revealed that she is currently practising celibacy. In the interview, which was conducted by the UK’s Daily Mail, the 24 year old also touched upon the pressure youngsters face to have sex.

Peep British chart sensations JLS taking a break from recording their US debut/UK sophomore LP on Los Angeles’ famed Sunset Boulevard yesterday (April 11th).

Word has it they won’t be releasing ‘Kickstart’ – as per their label’s initial plans. Instead the four-piece will be releasing a brand new song as their next single offering.

Alicia Keys is considering re-releasing her ‘The Element of Freedom’ LP. The R&B singer revealed to Rap-Up that while things are still in the planning stages, the possibility of a repackaged release may be on the horizon. The music video from Drake’s new song, ‘Over’, has finally premiered. The Anthony Mandler-directed clip was shot to support the single which has thus far peaked at #17 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #10 on the Hop R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. Drake’s debut album, ‘Thank Me Later’, was recently pushed back from it’s original release date of May 25th to June 15th. Check out the video below:

In a recent interview with SPIN magazine, Nicki Minaj once again hit out at her critics, offering the following:

“It bothers me when people take themselves too seriously. It’s like, loosen the fuck up. At the end of the day, this is entertainment. We should be entertained. I’ve gone through the ’12-Step Hip-Hop Program’: the mixtapes, the DVDs, the low-budget videos, the small shows. I thank God that I wasn’t signed years ago and that I didn’t have a hit record before I did the grind. I’m ready now.”
