Travis Scott has broken his silence on the Astroworld tragedy that saw 10 people lose their lives.
As widely reported, a mass stampede broke out at the star’s Houston show last month and claimed the lives of revelers – the youngest of whom was just 9-years-old.
In the time since, hundreds of lawsuits have been filed, with many being combined into a class action to the tune of billions.
Now, in an exclusive sit-down interview with Charlamagne Tha God on The Breakfast Club, the rapper is speaking up and out.
During the nearly hour-long discussion, Scott expresses sadness at the situation and the lives lost.
However, he clearly makes a point to relay that he is not to blame.
Speaking candidly, the MC proclaims that he is a “man of God” and slams the suggestion that his music is “satanic” and encouraged the rage culture that some say led to the chaos.
Scott also said: “they are pointing the finger at me because it is my festival” but stresses that his main point of duty moving forward is to be of service to ensure such a tragedy never happens again anywhere.
