During an era of music that sees charts dominated by songs booming on streaming and sales platform, Dua Lipa‘s ‘Levitating’ has slowly, but surely risen to the top thanks to good old fashioned radio airplay.

To say the performance of J. Cole‘s latest album, ‘The Off-Season,’ is one of 2021’s biggest music stories is a serious understatement.

As if being a critical slam dunk wasn’t enough, the project entered the updated Billboard 200 at #1 with first-week sales of nearly 300K – the most of any male effort this year to date.  Overall, the measure made him the first rapper in history to see his first six albums peak at #1 on the tally.

The wins don’t stop on the Billboard 200 side of the charts, however.  Look inside to see how tunes that line the tracklist of ‘The Off-Season’ are earning major points on the Billboard Hot 100.

As evidenced by the ‘My Type’ remix (with Jhene Aiko and City Girls), ‘B*tch from Da Souf’ (with Latto and Trina), and her most recent top 20 smash ‘Best Friend’ (with Doja Cat), rising Rap diva Saweetie is no stranger to leveraging girl power to land a hit.

The potent formula is one that may be just what’s needed to push her latest female collaboration, ‘Baby Mama Coochie’ remix with BbyAfricka, to new Hot 100 heights.

Ahead of BbyAfricka’s debut project, ‘BIG AFRICKA’ (due June 18), she joined forces with Saweetie to deliver the ‘Coochie’ remix alongside an accompanying, Da’mon Broussard-directed visual for the cut.

Michelle Williams proves she doesn’t just sing about being a survivor; she is a survivor.

Despite having publicly enjoyed dizzying heights of fame as a member of top-selling girl group Destiny’s Child as well as by her lonesome on the Broadway and Gospel circuits, she privately battled severe bouts with depression – a journey the ‘Journey to Freedom’ singer dishes on earnestly and honestly in new page-turner, ‘Checking In’ (released May 25).

As the rave reviews roll in, Williams has been rolling on the promo trail in the book’s support – hitting major platforms like ‘Kelly Clarkson Show,’ ‘Dr. Oz,’ ‘US Weekly,’ and ‘The Real’ in the process.

Related to the latter, look inside to hear the GRAMMY winner detail how she’s ‘done with music’ (in the traditional sense) and how she envisions the future of her career.

Thanks to hits like ‘Don’t Start Now,’ ‘Break My Heart,’ ‘Levitating,’ and ‘Physical,’ Dua Lipa has strong-armed the most-certified female album of 2020, ‘Future Nostalgia.’

And if recent updates from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) are anything to go by, the project is far from finished.
