However, unlike our other segments – Retro Rewind, TGJ Replay, and From The Vault – The Pop Stop is the most in-depth look at Pop songs that may have flown under the radar over the last week that you should know, rather they be from music’s biggest stars or those on the rise.

This week, we want to highlight cuts from Nick Jonas, CHIKA, Watts & Khalid, and January Jane.

After initially issuing an apology to the Black community for a shocking outburst on The Talk, Sharon Osbourne is now claiming to have been “blindsided” by her co-hosts.

As reported, the TV maven was consumed with fury in defense of her friend Piers Morgan, whose dismissal of Meghan Markle‘s suicidal feelings saw him “leave” popular UK morning show Good Morning Britain. A development that took place against the backdrop of over 41,000 formal complaints about his conduct to UK regulator Ofcom.

Markle’s claims were unpacked during her and Prince Harry’s seismic interview with Oprah Winfrey and highlighted ill-treatment the couple says was racially charged. Specifically as relates to The Talk, it ignited a conversation about whether Morgan’s shocking dismissal was rooted in racism.

Osbourne’s fiery eruption, which is now a viral moment, has snowballed into a story in and of itself.

Sharon Osbourne came under fire this week after her shock eruption during a race debate on The Talk.

As reported, the 68-year-old got all sorts of defensive when taking up for friend Piers Morgan whose comments about Meghan Markle were being discussed by her co-hosts. Specifically, whether or not his blanket dismissal of her claims of racism amounted to racism.

Surprised viewers watched Osbourne present a brick wall of sorts as the likes of Sheryl Underwood attempted to get through to her.

The following day she issued an apology to the Black community.

One person who isn’t biting is Osbourne’s former co-host on The Talk, Holly Robinson Pete.

It’s been over two months since Jazmine Sullivan released her long-awaited comeback effort, ‘Heaux Tales’ (click here to stream), yet the project’s still riding high in the Billboard R&B album chart‘s top 10.

Part of the set’s ongoing success is due to the commercial response to its critically acclaimed cuts, ‘Girl Like Me’ and ‘Pick Up Your Feelings.’  The latter has particularly caught on with music lovers, even breaking into the Pop charts to become her first placement on that tally since 2010.

In a bid to build on that momentum and push ‘Pick’ to even higher Hot 100 heights, Sullivan has unveiled the tune’s official music video – a glossy revamp of her stunning live performance at the 2020 Soul Train Awards.
