‘Basketball Wives’ was once one of VH1’s highest rated programs, easily netting 1-2 million viewers per episode at the height of its popularity.

And though season 8 (which aired over 2019) saw the Shaunie O’Neal-produced show score some of its lowest ratings in its history, the season was still able to secure average viewership of at least 1 million.

Thanks to the hype that preceded the show’s season 9 kick off (February 9), many predicted the return of Malaysia Pargo, Evelyn Lozada, Jackie Christie, Jennifer Williams, Kristen Scott, Ogom “OG” Chijindu, and Feby Torres to screens would be a slam dunk on the ratings front.

Premiere figures reveal, however, the year that passed since the last time fans caught new episodes of ‘Basketball Wives’ may have worked to its detriment.

To celebrate Valentine’s Day 2021, Mario invited his dedicated fans to get the full virtual concert experience from the comfort of their homes via the streaming platform Mandolin.

Ahead of the influx of rave reviews he received for the career-spanning showing, he treated listeners to the new song, ‘Luxury Love.’

Speaking on the bedroom ready tune, the GRAMMY nominee took to press to say:

“When people think of the word luxury they normally think of materialistic and extravagant gifts,” Mario stated via press release.. “With ‘Luxury Love,’ I wanted to highlight that the act of love is the luxury itself. Whatever your love language is, express that. Luxury is an experience. It’s the outward expression of that language. A consistent ode to that language.”

With multiple #1 movies and musical endeavors to his credit, rapper-actor Ludacris is no stranger to cooking up hits on the Billboard charts or box office.  Yet if the trailer to his new Discovery+ show is to be believed, that’s where his talents stop.

His effort to change that comes courtesy of ‘Luda Can’t Cook’ – a one-hour TV special that shows him bringing the heat in the kitchen under the tutelage of James Beard Award-nominated chef, Meherwan Irani.

Two years after the premiere of ‘Shea Butter Baby,’ the title track from her official debut studio album, the 29-year-old has learned the J. Cole-assisted track has crossed the Recording Industry Association of America’s (RIAA) threshold for Platinum status.

Kandi Burruss has spoken up and out about the allegations leveled against her Xscape bandmate Tiny and husband T.I.

As reported, a woman named Sabrina Peterson took to social media to allege that the rapper held her at gunpoint and invited others to detail their alleged experiences.

15 women stepped forward with shocking allegations of drug-fuelled sex trafficking – with the alleged involvement of Tiny too.

In the time since T.I. has issued an impassioned denial and branded the allegations “egregiously appalling.”

Now, in the wake of production being paused on the couple’s VH1 show, Kandi addressed the matter during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live.

Ariana Grande is giving her new album ‘Positions’ a boost this week in the form of a deluxe edition.

The songbird’s sixth studio effort has thus far birthed a Billboard Hot 100 chart-topper with its title track; while follow-up ’34+35′ reached #2.

The latter benefitted from a remixed version featuring Megan Thee Stallion and Doja Cat – which is one of four new tracks added to the incoming deluxe LP.

With just days to go before it drops (on February 19), Grande has unwrapped the tracklist.
