Season 6 of the ‘Real Housewives of Potomac’ saw fans introduced to newcomer Mia Thornton. And she certainly made her presence felt.

Whether it was her candidness about her “enhancements,” clashes with Candiace Dillard, or her openness about her Mom’s hardships, there’s no denying that Thornton delivered during her debut.

R-E-S-P-E-C-T is exactly what Jennifer Hudson got as she blew the roof off Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena at the 2021 CMAs on Wednesday (November 10).

On hand to deliver a tribute to Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin (who she also won rave reviews portraying in the recent biopic ‘Respect’), Hudson soared as she rendered riveting renditions of Franklin’s ‘You Are My Sunshine’ and ‘Night Life’ at the Luke Bryan-hosted affair.

Joined by fellow GRAMMY winner Chris Stapleton, the unlikely pairing finished their performance to a (much deserved) standing ovation.

For, the show dedicated an entire episode of the hit competition to the music of the Rock & Roll Hall of Famer.

Indeed, contestants competed with bops such as ‘All For You,’ ‘Feedback,’ ‘If,’ ‘Nasty,’ and ‘Anytime Anyplace.’

Jackson herself dropped by (via satellite) and chopped it up about the honor with the show’s host (and her friend) Tyra Banks.
