The BET Hip Hop Awards returned to Atlanta for its 2021 ceremony and saw a number of notable names on hand at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre – including rapper DreamDoll.

It goes without saying that the femcee has steadily been on her grind and has turned the volume up on her buzz with bops such as ‘Tryouts’ and ‘Different Freestyle.’

That Grape Juice‘s Ques Williams caught up with the star on the red carpet, where she dished on her new label, new music, and her love for Lil Nas X.

Lil Nas X is in the middle of his biggest sales week yet thanks to the warm commercial response to the September 17 release of his debut album, ‘Montero.’

But while his fans continue to get acquainted with the controversial star’s new music, they’re still clinging to his hits of old – namely ‘Old Town Road.’

The Billy Ray Cyrus-assisted hit, found aboard X’s debut EP ‘7,’ has already ridden into Billboard history books for being the longest-running #1 single ever.  Now, just 8 months after becoming the most certified song in the history of the Recording Industry Association of America (and first to reach the 14x Platinum threshold), ‘Old’ has extended the record.

Lil Nas X may have lit up the streaming scene with his debut album ‘Montero,’ but he isn’t resting on his laurels.

Instead, the Pop provocateur is pounding the promotional pavement in support of the LP.

And his latest stop was BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge. 

Backed by a full band, Nas delivered rousing renditions of his new single ‘That’s What I Want,’ ‘Montero’ album jam ‘Dead Right Now,’ and a cover of Dolly Parton‘s ‘Jolene.’
