Music royals SWV and Xscape have set sail on the ‘The Queens of R&B Tour.’

Serving as one of the summer season’s hottest tickets, the 90-minute spectacular saw the groups celebrate their respective legacies and legendary discographies.

Rocking out to classics such as ‘Weak,’ ‘I’m So Into You,’ ‘Understanding’ and ‘Just Kickin’ It,’ SWV and Xscape also united to perform select songs together.

Concord, California played host to the opening show of the trek, which also features R&B veterans Mya, 702, and Total.

Adekunle Gold continues to heat up the scene with his new single ‘Rodo.’

Aptly translating to “hot,” the scorching track adds to a string of releases the Afro-Fusion star poured out since his 2023 album ‘Tequila Ever After.’ The latter of which features contributions from the likes of Pharrell Williams, Nile Rodgers, and Gold’s wife and fellow artist Simi.

Blending Afrobeats and Amapiano, the hypnotic track has been paired with a slick, cinematic video – which premiered moments ago.

Tyla made audience members at Sunday’s BET Awards (June 30) jump, jump, jump to their feet after her rousing live rendition of ‘Jump‘ – the latest single from her March-released, eponymous debut album.

Featuring chart-topping rapper Gunna and Jamaican dancehall icon Skillibeng, the performance only heightened the existent buzz around the tune which has quickly become a favorite among the singer’s growing fan base.

Capitalizing on the momentum, Tyla took time to share the official behind the scenes look at the ‘Jump’ accompanying music video.

Sunday’s BET Awards (June 30) marked many-a-milestone for the 24-year-old award show including boasting the most female rappers ever on its performance roster.

And while Megan Thee Stallion, Sexyy Red, Lauryn Hill, GloRilla, Ice Spice, and Latto rocked the crowd with their respective hits, the latter two particularly caught the eye of some viewers who noted they performed diss tracks aimed at each other.

For every slick diss that was missed when the GRAMMY nominees respectively took to the stage, however, their fan bases definitely caught behind the scenes.

Viewers of Sunday’s BET Awards (June 30) are still buzzing after the nearly 17-minute long tribute to Usher assembled some of Urban music’s best and brightest to toast the R&B superstar’s 30-year career and treasure trove of hits.

Yet, while many took to social media to heap praise on the female-led performance that featured the likes of KeKe Palmer, Victoria Monet, Latto, Chloe Bailey, Marsha Ambrosius, Tinashe, Summer Walker, Teyana Taylor, and Coco Jones, others fled to the platforms to complain about the glaring dearth of testosterone (barring Childish Gambino).

And though some wondered why the likes of Luke James, WanMor, Lucky Daye, October London, Durand Bernarr, and other male R&B crooners weren’t tapped to lend their talents to the moment, the honoree himself was not among those wielding complaints.
