‘Put in Work’ wailer Jacquees did just that over Labor Day weekend when he unveiled his surprise drop mixtape, ‘Exit 68.’

A 16-track affair that features appearances from the likes of Trey Songz, FYB, and more, the project’s title reportedly draws inspiration from the I-20 East Interstate exit ramp in Decatur, Georgia where Jacquees is from.

Hard at work on his third studio album (due for release later this year), ‘Quees opted to give fans something to tide them over until that effort – the follow-up to 2019’s ‘King of R&B’ – is ready for launch.

Janelle Monáe has released a new anthem, titled ‘Turntables,’ for the upcoming Amazon Studios documentary, ‘All In: The Fight for Democracy.’

The soul-funk record is a political anthem that sees Monáe sings of a new dream, liberation and spreading enlightenment. It marks the singer’s first release of new music since 2018’s critically acclaimed ‘Dirty Computer.’

Rapping on the track, Monáe declares:

“Got a new agenda, with a new dream/I’m kickin’ out the old regime/Liberation, elevation, education.”
