Cardi B is pounding the promo pavement in support of her September 19-due new album ‘Am I the Drama,’ and what better way to do so than to reflect on the very drama that helped inspire the LP’s theme?
In her ‘Countdown to Am I the Drama‘ interview special with Spotify on Monday (September 15), Cardi (born Belcalis Almanzar) did just that.
Hosted by GRAMMY-winning R&B diva Kelly Rowland, Almanzar waxed honest on everything from her humble beginnings, beefs with other female artists, the 7-year delay from her debut effort ‘Invasion of Privacy,’ and so much more.
Of special note was the Rap diva’s candid discussion about her highly publicized divorce from fellow rapper / Migos star Offset and how it impacted her ability to record.
Look inside to see what she said.
Just three months after giving birth to her first child with former boyfriend/fellow rapper Trippie Redd, femcee Coi Leray is back to business with new song ‘Pink Money.’
“The LV bag got rhinestones on it / These Tiffany bracelets got imported / Diamonds look like Fiji water / This bitch talk loud, think she important / Balenci’ tags, they can’t afford this,” she raps on the bass-buoyed tune featuring Chicago hitmaker G Herbo and female rapper Bktherula.
Her first drop of new music since unveiling the deeply personal ‘What Happened to Forever‘ EP in February, ‘Money’ is believed to be the inaugural taste from her forthcoming album set to be offered via her new deal with Epic Records.
Until official news is dropped on its parent project (reportedly christened with the working title ‘Pink Sweatsuits‘), hop inside to hear the latest from Coi in full.
‘Dreamgirls’ is set to make its grand return. And, in a 360 development, it will be landing on the platform that started it all: Broadway.
