Burna Boy is back!

The Afrobeats blazer has unwrapped ‘Wonderful’ as the first taste of new album ‘Twice As Tall.’

Hotly anticipated, the project follows the star’s GRAMMY-nominated LP ‘African Giant’ – which birthed global smash ‘Anybody.’

Anchored in a message of growth, pride, and perseverance, the song shows appreciation for all the wonderful things the world can offer us.

Speaking on the track, Burna said:

“It’s important for me to show that music is a uniting force that transcends state lines, barriers and borders. This song is about the ‘wonders’ of seeing the impact of my music on people’s lives as they shared their joy, pain and pleasure with me while I toured the world. It serves as a note that no matter how far you go, or how hard you work; you must be ready to come home, the pandemic forced us all to take refuge in our homes. Above all, Africa is home, it is the motherland to all people. For us to truly matter, Africa has to matter.”

Roy Woods’ rise to prominence is one many dream of, but few achieve.

The Canadian/Guyanese musician first captured the attention of Drake when he was 19-years-old and was then signed by Drizzy to his OVO Sound record label propelling him into the spotlight.

Since then, Woods has gone on to tour with such Hip-Hop heavyweights such as Future, Migos, and, of course, Drake himself.

The star, who is able to balance big, club hits such as his song ‘Shot Again,’ with more emphatic sounds like the ones displayed in his most recent track, ‘I Feel It,’ has amassed a total of 930 million career-streams to-date.

That Grape Juice‘s Samuel Eni sat down with Woods (virtually) for a candid convo, in which he discussed making more mature music with his latest release, an EP named ‘Dem Times,’ his post-lockdown plans, dreams of working with Frank Ocean, and much more.

Tune into the interview above to learn more about this superstar in the making.

Your thoughts?

It’s been two months since Tinashe hosted a contest for fans to appear in the ‘Hopscotch’ music video, a move that signaled the Killah B-produced tune was set to be the latest single launched from her 2019 ‘Songs For You’ album (as we reported here)

Although fans are still waiting on new developments around that announcement, T’s bringing renewed focus to the song by unveiling its remix (featuring THEY).

As if earning a #1 hit on the R&B charts with his Ella Mai-assisted ‘Don’t Waste My Time’ wasn’t enough, R&B veteran Usher also recently saw his name printed atop iTunes R&B tallies for his Tyga-assisted song, ‘California’ (click here to listen).

The warm response to his lengthy absence from the music scene has apparently encouraged the 8x GRAMMY winner to unveil even more new music as evidenced by the recently released, ‘I Cry.’

An emotional cut seemingly inspired by the ongoing racial unrest in America, Ush croons on the track:

“I cry / For the sons without fathers / And the pain that their mothers / Hold deep inside / And I’ll fight / For the future we’re making / We can change if we face it / ‘Cause these tears won’t dry / So I cry…”
