Days after taking to social media to share her thoughts on fellow female artists (i.e. Doja Cat, Nicki Minaj, Beyoncé, Ariana Grande, etc.) who she believes does not get the same negative reception she does (as we reported here), Lana Del Rey – still under attack for the commentary – has opted to add “final notes” in her defense.

First firing back at those divas’ fans who suggested her original statement was cloaked in racism (click here to read that), Del Rey’s now taking aim at critics who missed the entire point of her initial post.

In danger of inciting a second wave of fury, look inside to see her newest set of comments.

Sister duo Chloe x Halle aren’t letting lockdown halt the push for new single ‘Do It.’

The Parkwood pair took front-stage center on MTV Prom-Athon, a special mounted in support of 2020 graduates (who, given the current circumstance, aren’t able to have graduation ceremonies).

Lifted from sophomore album ‘Ungodly Hour,’ the track has garnered ample traction thanks to its scorching video and a viral dance that’s taken off on TikTok.

Watch them add a fresh dimension to the song with their soulful showing below…

Barely a month after Nicki Minaj fans, affectionately called #Barbz, launched the #DojaCatisOverParty after the ‘Say So’ hitmaker referred to the fan group as ‘scum’ (click here to read more on that), the hashtag has been relaunched – this time due to resurfaced footage that seeks to prove the 24-year-old (born Amalaratna Zandile Dlamini) discriminates against Black people.

Its arrival is rather ironic as it comes just a day after Cat clapped back at Lana Del Rey for comments she made that many deemed racist (click here to read more).  Now, both acts face cancellation. Yikes!

As we reported here, seasoned actress Meagan Good has been subjected to months of murmurs surrounding her alleged practice of skin bleaching – a tactic of using creams or surgical procedures to lighten one’s complexion.

Although she took to social media over the weekend to silence critics who have long accused her of engaging in the practice, the response to her explanation incited elaboration – as delivered via a recent interview with ‘Where is the Buzz TV’ (May 21).

There, Good detailed her recovery process after what she says was an encounter with a falsely-reported licensed aesthetician gone wrong.

Hype around Chris Brown and Young Thug‘s joint offering, the ‘Slime & B’ mixtape, came and went in a blink.

Released on the R&B singer’s 31st birthday (May 5), the 13-song set may have featured appearances from Hip-Hop heavyweights Gunna, Future, Too $hort, E-40, and more, but the absence of traditional promotion (as well as its unconventional Tuesday release) led to an abysmal #55 debut on the Billboard 200 – the lowest premiere of any Brown effort to date.

Although its inaugural positioning was powered by sales of approximately 13,000 SPS, the project fared better on the refreshed Billboard 200 as it enjoyed its first full tracking week.

With her forthcoming LP, ‘The Album,’ slated for a June release (as we reported here), Teyana Taylor is moving full speed ahead in its support by unveiling not one, but two songs from its tracklist.

Titled ‘Made It’ and ‘Bare Wit Me,’ the pair of bops have been given the video treatment under the directorial helm of Taylor herself.  As the former clip stands as an ode to the graduating Class of 2020 (who were deprived of a formal commencement this year due to the pandemic), the Janet Jackson-inspired latter combines elements of the Pop icon’s classic ‘Alright’ and ‘I Get So Lonely’ videos.
