“Started on two different pages, I’m happy we made it / You say that you’re broken, I’m the one who saves you / Thousand miles apart and God knows that I hate it / Nothing hurts me more than when we’re separated,” he says in the Digi-produced song’s first verse.

Those who thought the viral response to GloRilla‘s smash ‘Yeah Glo‘ was a fluke found out the hard way she had more ammo in the cannon.

After that tune’s parent project (the ‘Ehhthang Ehhthang‘ mixtape) delivered her second Billboard 200 top 20 placement, another of its housed tunes – ‘TGIF‘ – started gaining traction on social media.

“It’s 7pm Friday (yup) / It’s 95 degrees (woo) / I ain’t got no n—a / And no n—a ain’t got me / I’m about to show my a– / These n—s love a freak / How the f-ck is that your man (huh) / If he right here with me,” she raps on the vibey track.

Despite the continued top 20 success of its predecessor, ‘Wanna Be‘ (featuring Megan Thee Stallion and later Cardi B on a remix), Glo finally caved to heightened calls to give ‘TGIF’ the official single treatment to capitalize on its ongoing popularity on Tik Tok.
