That’s the ongoing question fans have for Cardi B‘s involvement in the highly anticipated reboot of ‘The Nanny.’
Tank enjoyed a resurgence of sorts thanks to his 2017 LP ‘Savage,’ which features the platinum hit, ‘When We’ (his first Hot 100 entry since 2007’s ‘Please Don’t Go’).
Looking to capitalize off the renewed interest, the R&B singer-songwriter has lifted the lid on news surrounding its follow-up, ‘Elevation.’ Arriving courtesy of Atlantic Records, the set – preceded by singles ‘I Don’t Think You’re Ready’ and the Chris Brown-assisted ‘Dirty’ – is scheduled to hit stores just a week after the crooner sets sail on the North American ‘Sketchbook’ tour with Grammy winning songstress Fantasia (click here to see dates).
Speaking on the new project, Tank said:
Lizzo is the name on everyone’s lips – and a pretty firm fixture on their playlists too.
The Houston native has come to embody the age old reality that most “overnight successes” are indeed years in the making.
A hustler on the indie circuit for almost a decade, her eventual signing to a major label didn’t yield immediate fruit.
And while the viral-ness of catchy jam ‘Juice’ was initially hoped to become her big break, it was a song from three-years prior that would not only become her breakthrough – it became a Billboard #1. That track being ‘Truth Hurts.’
With the song currently enjoying its third week atop of the tally, the 31-year-old covers the latest issue of Billboard Magazine – which dubs as the Grammy 2020 preview edition.
Her appearance is notable given that despite its age and availability in the marketplace, ‘Truth’ is eligible in major Grammy categories – given that it was added on the deluxe edition of her major label debut ‘Cuz I Love You.’
Head below for snaps from the stunning Heather Hazzan lensed spread, as well as word from Lizzo on everything from her rise to Pop prominence, her approach to performance, and much more.
Jennifer Lopez may be earning Oscar buzz for her critically acclaimed performance in the new box office hit, ‘Hustlers,’ but there’s at least one person she shouldn’t expect a standing ovation from: Samantha Barbash, the woman who Lopez’s character in the stripper film is allegedly based on.
Taking to multiple media outlets including TMZ, Access Hollywood, and more, Barbash branded the film ‘unimpressive’ and slammed it for ‘lacking a story line.’ As if that’s not enough, she claims the creators stole her life story even after she refused to accept their ‘unacceptable offer’ to sign away rights for the use of her likeness.
Now, with attorney Bruno Gioffre in pocket, Samantha’s readying a six-to-seven figure defamation lawsuit against the people behind the movie (STX Films, director Lorene Scafaria, and possibly Lopez) for what she deems an incorrect and inappropriate portrayal of her life as an exotic dancer.

October 11th can’t come soon enough for fans of R&B sensation Fantasia as the diva selected the date to deliver views of her long-awaited, ‘Sketchbook.’
The follow-up to 2016’s Billboard R&B chart-topping, ‘The Definition Of…,’ Fannie – as has been revealed in recent interviews – is using the ‘Sketchbook’ era to redefine and repaint the public’s perception of her. In addition to unveiling layers of her personality yet seen, the 35-year-old’s bringing the LP’s content to stages across America on the ‘Sketchbook Tour’ just days after it arrives on shelves (click here for dates).
To amp fan anticipation, she’s taken to Facebook to give a peek at the project’s official album cover artwork. The “first look” is accompanied by news of the album’s pre-order info and track list. Details inside:
With new single ‘Panini’ pacing its way up the charts, Lil Nas X appears a-front of the latest issue of Billboard Magazine (in a double cover spread with Lizzo).
After reigning atop of the Hot 100 for a record-breaking 19-weeks with ‘Old Town Road,’ attention has turned to whether 20-year-old can enjoy success with his follow-up efforts.
He, however, isn’t allowing the debate to to phase him.
Instead, he’s laser-focussed on carving out a legitimate music career.
