Rap star French Montana unwrapped quite the backlash after his TMZ-captured statement regarding R. Kelly suggested he was defending the embattled R&B singer’s amid allegations of sexual abuse.

Like we reported here, French – born Karim Kharbouch – seemingly downplayed the serious accusations against the ‘I Believe I Can Fly’ creator when he said:

“Whatever happened…happened.  They [people] don’t let nobody have their legendary moments.” 

As detractors flew to Kharbouch’s social media handles in droves to slam his flippant response to the issue, he issued a statement hoping to clarify his stance:

Adele‘s 2015 blockbuster hit, ‘Hello,’ is saying goodbye to holding the record for ‘most streamed song by a female artist.’  Beyond its impressive sales feats (first song to sell over 1 million digital copies in one week) and Hot 100 chart reign (10 consecutive weeks at #1), ‘Hello’s crowning glory was being etched in history books for amassing a whopping 3.36 billion streams (to date).

Little Mix, in many ways, have remixed the “girl band” narrative.

Having won The X Factor in 2011, the Pop quad have amassed eight-years of non-stop success – seemingly growing more potent by the project.

Their trajectory deviates from the tried and true story of such collectives, which – by now – would have seen the ladies dabble in solo careers, reality shows, and indefinite hiatuses. None of which has been the case.

With 2019 underway and latest album ‘LM5’ still in promo cycle, the Little Mix have their eyes on cementing themselves Stateside.
