Love is all ‘Put It In’ Prince Sammie had for Kelly Rowland and Frank Ocean this week, when TGJ caught up with the R&B wonder. Of course, while you may have seen the bulk of our conversation with him here, our time with performer did not end there- carrying on to see him share his thoughts on Rowland’s new single ‘Dirty Laundry‘ and the open letter than turned Frank Ocean into a cultural icon.

Since blazing back onto the scene with last Summer’s ‘Put It Down’, Brandy has not looked back.

Indeed, after wracking up critical acclaim for her comeback effort ‘Two Eleven’, the soon-to-be Mrs. Press nabbed high profile role in Tyler Perry’s ‘Temptation’ movie and was upgraded to a regular on BET hit ‘The Game’.

Keen to keep her momentum going, the 34-year-old has signed to a major talent agency. All the details after the jump…

As has been swarming the net since earlier today, ‘Va Va Voom’ vixen Nicki Minaj is reportedly the next judge aboard ‘American Idol’s judging panel to bid the show adieu – following the lead of veteran judge Randy Jackson.

What started off as a testament to the diva’s growing star power quickly turned sour as she fended herself from blame by a number of the show’s devoted fans for its decline in viewership since news of her inclusion.

Indeed, from the very start her tenure on the reality singing competition has been rocked with criticisms, beginning with that epic diva showdown with fellow judge/pop icon Mariah Carey

Kendrick Lamar  has opened up on the struggle he faced become one of Rap’s fastest selling contributors, speaking on his past in an interview with Santillian and the Wild Out Wake-Up Show.

Usher, Justin Timberlake, Nina Simone, and Marvin Gaye are just some of the many known names in music who will see themselves involved to some capacity in a biopic this year.

Indeed, the coveted biopic role has launched many-an-act to stardom in its tenure by bringing to light the real personal lives of celebrated public figures.

Most recently, VH1 has taken the reins in preparation of a TLC biopic and continues to tease fans with snaps from the set of the highly anticipated film (like the one seen here).  With many great biopics of yesteryear to live up to, our excitement for the venture leads us to ask you – That Grape Juice faithful:

Whose biopic has been the best so far? (more…)

As anyone who’s been to a Rihanna show (that wasn’t cancelled) will agree, performing isn’t where her “wow” factor lies. Indeed, even her staunchest supporters will be the first to confirm that it’s her catalogue of hits that make her, for better or worse.

Therefore, it’s little surprise that her new ‘777’ tour documentary has been unceremoniously slammed by critics.

Set to air on Fox on May 6th, the fly on the wall special chronicles the 25-year-old’s 7 shows, in 7 cities, over 7 nights promo push for her hit album ‘Unapologetic’. The ‘Diamonds’ led set, which is her 7th LP, became her first chart-topping project in the US upon release last November.

And while the album’s success may relay a triumphant narrative, its accompanying docu-movie reportedly boasts little in replay value. Not a good look when the full 77 minute version of the hour-long special will be released on DVD a day later (May 7th).

‘When I See You’ songstress Fantasia has seen herself aboard a media rollercoaster since the turn of the decade.

Indeed, kicking it off with her Grammy-award winning, 2010 top-seller ‘Back To Me’, the singer shortly thereafter found herself back atop headlines for a spectrum of a reasons – many of which, she tells That Grape Juice, nearly led her to walk away from the very platform that brought her fame.

Now, as her fourth album ‘Side Effects of You’ hit shelves today, Tasia talks exclusively about why it is her most personal to date (addressing those issues “head-on”), the future of her once-scheduled Mahalia Jackson biopic,  and so much more.

It all awaits below…

Recent years have seen the artist formerly known as Snoop Dogg mellow and mature. Yet the rapper, who now goes by the alias Snoop Lion, remains ever-ready to speak his mind. Case, point, a recent interview with UK broadsheet, The Guardian.

The sit-down chat, which saw the Hip-Hop star admit to smoking his favourite plant with his 18-year-old son, is perhaps most notable for his comments on gay marriage.

Find out why after the jump…

Colour us confused, but are we the only ones who thought Ray J didn’t make music anymore?

In any case, the R&B bad boy is back with the classy single ‘I Hit It First’.

The artwork for the single begun doing the rounds late last night, and it seems it inspired someone somewhere to unwrap the song a day earlier than the 32-year-old intended.

And while ex-Kim Kardashian isn’t called out by name, the lyrics make no secret about who the controversial star is singing about.

Take a listen to Ray J’s homage to his “blue movie” co-star below…
