With the masses still picking their jaws up from the floor following Lifetime‘s ‘Surviving R. Kelly,’ interest remains sky-high in everyone and everything connected to the shocking docu-series.

One of the most outspoken participants was R&B singer Sparkle.

A former protege of R. Kelly herself, the star has been refreshingly candid about her experience with the embattled “Pied Piper.” Specifically, the fact that she introduced her niece to him and that said niece is the teen in the now infamous “video” that sent him to trial on child porn charges.

Now, she’s expanding on the story.

During a frank interview on ‘The Breakfast Club,’ she goes into granular detail about the effect the trial had on her family, the scenes that didn’t make the documentary, a recent encounter with Kelly, and a whole lot more.

Lady Gaga is proving herself to be one of the hardest working talents in showbiz.

For, fresh from launching her ‘Enigma’ Las Vegas Residency last month, Mother Monster has kicked off the second part of her Park Theater engagement – an intimate Jazz & Piano show.

Playing to a sold-out capacity crowd, Gaga thrilled with a setlist comprised of iconic standards such as ‘Bang Bang’ and ‘The Lady Is A Tramp’ – during which she was joined by Tony Bennett.  She also served up stripped-back interpretations of her own classics a la ‘Poker Face’ and ‘Bad Romance.’

Both branches of the singer’s Park Theater shows come after a mammoth promotional push for ‘A Star Is Born’ – a role which has earned her a Golden Globe and is hotly tipped do the same at the upcoming Oscars.

Pending tomorrow’s nominations announcement, see Gaga in action below…

As of time reported, Ariana Grande‘s latest song, ‘7 Rings,’ may be sitting atop the iTunes sales charts (and has been so since its January 18th release), but the soon-to-be hit has also been sitting atop the hitlist of a number of detractors who claim the tune is drenched in uncredited and – at times –  inappropriate cultural references.

Following rappers 2 Chainz, Princess Nokia, and Soulja Boy all calling the 25-year-old out for her ‘borrowed’ rap styling on the Victoria Monet-penned number (click here to read more on that), critics began weighing in on the song’s Trap-inspired composition while its lyrics boast of material excess and wearing weave.  When Grande got wind of the hoop-la, she took to social media (on a now-deleted post) to jokingly say:

“‘You like my hair? Gee, thanks, just bought it’… White women talking about their weaves is how we’re gonna solve racism.”

The comment incited further furor and led the Grammy-nominee to lend a public apology.  See it inside:

Erykah Badu was invited to have a window seat after headlines rang across the net she was booed during her concert last night (January 19) at Chicago’s Aragon Ballroom after she went on a rant in defense of embattled R&B singer R. Kelly.

As Kelly is immersed in a media firestorm after the scathing documentary, ‘Surviving R. Kelly,’ aired on Lifetime at the top of the year featuring victims who allege the ‘I Believe I Can Fly’ singer sexually assaulted them, the general public – including his own label (as we reported here) – have spoken out against him.  Badu dared to stand against the outcry and she is suffering a Twitter tongue-lashing as a result….

After the critical success of ‘Hurtin Me (Remix),’ Dancehall hitmaker Sean Paul reteams with rapstress Stefflon Don for his new release, ‘Shot & Wine.’

The latest gem found aboard his new album (due later this year), the cut – delivered courtesy of SPJ Productions  – is a club ready banger that sees the 46-year-old call upon his tried-and-true rap-sung stylings over an island-kissed beat.

With a touch from Don, this beauty comes as the follow-up to a string of female artist-assisted cuts Paul’s released in the last year including ‘Naked Truth’ (Jhene Aiko) and ‘Hey DJ’ (Meghan Trainor).  Hear ‘Shot’ inside and weigh in:
