A week after its debut, ‘Finesse,’ the critically acclaimed collabo between Bruno Mars and rapstress Cardi B, remains the top-selling song in the USA.  Holding tight to the top spot on Stateside iTunes charts, it appears the song is looking to mirror that success on the Billboard Hot 100.

As we previously reported, the odd timing of the tune’s release [near the end of a tracking week] meant that it would hit the Hot 100 based on just one day of sales data.  That one day alone, however, has already made it a top 40 hit!  If that’s not enough, its unloosened grip on the top of sales charts – in conjunction with over 52.3 million Youtube streams and crowning the Spotify streaming charts (as of time reported) – make it a shoo-in for a top 5 next week. Dare we say it, the song may even unseat Ed Sheeran & Beyonce‘s 5 week chart champion, ‘Perfect.’

Until we find out for sure, tuck in below to see just where the song (this week’s only new top 40 entry) debuted on the current Hot 100:

Just days after unveiling his official, long-awaited debut single ‘Freedom’ (as we reported here), ‘Empire’ star Jussie Smollett has unleashed its stunning accompanying music video.

Directing the clip alongside revered choreographer/creative director Frank Gatson, Smollett tapped actresses Tika Sumpter and Cynthia Erivo as its stars to portray a loving couple who are simply enjoying every moment of life and each other.

Taking to our friends at Complex, Smollett beamed over the visual:

“This video is about love. I wanted to show two people doing the everyday things that every single couple does. I see nothing but beauty through the eyes of these characters we’ve created. I hope everyone else does as well. Love is freedom. Freedom is love. Enjoy!”

And “enjoy” is just what we did.  We know you will too:

Beautiful performance to say the least! We expect great things from Smollett!
