  1. Bravo!! January 9, 2018

This will be Beyoncé first performance since giving birth, you know she the only one who can give Ms. Turner a tribute.

    • Hmmm… January 9, 2018

Beyoncé can absolutely embody Tina. Or I don’t know how her voice is but if Angela Bassett could sing? Chiiiilllleeeee. She played the hell out of her role as Tina. Honestly, Jlo can’t sing like Selena but she still does a good job at highlighting her greatness.

    • S****** Blonde January 9, 2018

Beyoncé could never, her tribute to Tina was awful, even Tina wasn’t impressed.

      • Oliver January 9, 2018

Jajaha haters . 2 thumbs up ?? u remember that when Tina did it after Beyoncé tribute to her . Keep doing your job haters . Make my queen relevant .

    • SMH January 9, 2018

Sit down. beyonce doesn’t have the vocal ability to properly tribute Tina.

      • BHYISI January 9, 2018

I think it’s the other way around. Let’s not act like Tina turner was this amazing singer, she really wasn’t. The Ikettes were better singers than Tina. Let’s also not act like she was this purely artistic artist as well. You stan for Rihanna, how you can even try to talk about vocals and actual talent is beyond reason!

    • Davii January 9, 2018

Will she perform Drunk In Love and throw in the eat the cake Anna Mae line as well?

      • JOHNVIDAL January 9, 2018

Beyonce is no where Tina as a original, unique and raw force of nature. No where near. She tributed her once or twice. That should be enough. She can move her body yes but it just feels so empty when she does Tina. Tina is the best and most special female performer in pop music history.

    • Truth Dot Com January 9, 2018

Beyonce and Fantasia need to tribute Tina Turner!!!!!

  2. Fancy BISH January 9, 2018

    Well deserved! Love her!

  3. Hmmm… January 9, 2018

    So deserved.

  4. ? + ✈ = ? January 9, 2018

I would like Fantasia to pay homage to the queen Tina

    • MusicLovah January 9, 2018

      You Betta Call It!

Fantasia is one such artist that can definitely do justice to ‘either’ sides of Tina Turner’s artistry (Rock and R&B), as seen in Fantasia’s concert tributes. Although I think it will make for great tv to see her perform, cause you know she gonna turnup lol,..unfortunately she doesn’t have the critical acclaim to warrant such an invite.

Maybe there will be other venues and national stages that will afford us this treat. Already slayed her Aretha and Patti tributes…now let slay the queen of Rock herself.

    • Moti January 9, 2018

Yal know they gon have Taylor Swift do it ?

  5. S****** Blonde January 9, 2018

    Marvelous woman.

  6. Stephy January 9, 2018

    BLACK PERFORMERS PLEASE!

  7. jazmin Sweetz January 9, 2018

beyonce would be perfect for this tribute…. she is the Tina Turner of our Generation and she is the greatest performer we have now….Grammys choose the right performers and beyonce would definately have the whole world talking if she tributes tina turner…..

    • Me Again… January 9, 2018

I like Beyoncé, but she is not the greatest entertainer we have. She is one of the greatest. She may be yours, but not everyone agrees, being we still have 51 year old Janet performing like she’s in her 20’s. We all have our preference, but to speak for everyone saying who is the best entertainer l, is a matter of taste and not fact.

      • Haters Gon’ Hate January 9, 2018

And yet you missed the point – I stan hard for Janet and she is killing it with her recent tour – but she cannot sing and dance like Tina could – Thus Beyoncé is a more fitting choice from our generation to tribute Tina. It isn’t about Beyoncé being better than anyone else – it’s about her ability to nail the tribute because of the similarities her given talent compared to Tina.

    • Dingell jones January 9, 2018

      Besides Fantasia

      • Me Again… January 9, 2018

And yet again you missed the point. That’s a matter of opinion on the dancing and singing. Like I said, it’s a matter of taste. Not everyone feels Beyoncé is the greatest performer of our time. I didn’t asked nor care about who you stan for hard. Sad that when someone feels Beyoncé is the greatest, then they’re labeled a hater.

      • Haters Gon’ Hate January 9, 2018

Matter of option on singing and Dancing? Are you 11? Janet Jackson is an entertainer with incredible dance skills – not a SINGER. Beyoncé and Tina are entertainers who dance AND sing. Do I really need to school you on the difference? And besides – WHO would you choose to tribute Tina?

  8. Anthony January 9, 2018

She deserves it. However, I don’t think Beyoncé will perform unfortunately. She wouldn’t want to take the attention off of Jay that night. I do see her giving the speech and awarding her though.

    • DanYiel Iman January 9, 2018

What does Jay Z have to do with Beyoncé having anything to do with Tina Turners award? ???

  9. The Wig Snatcher January 9, 2018

Louis Jordan finally getting his. He was the King of R&B during the 1940s and 1950s with 21 #1 hits.

  10. pat January 9, 2018

it’s a shame this generation has bred no female performers relevant enough to do this justice (bey who would kill it, is pushin 40). what has happened to black females in music. Congrats to tina tho. well deserved.

    • Bam January 9, 2018

You are asking the right questions.

    • Bianca Polo January 9, 2018

Tina Turner was 40 when she made her comeback in the 80’s . Janet is 51 still performing. Beyonce pushing 40 means nothing

      • Bam January 9, 2018

Nothing at all, but that’s not the point. The question is where are the new young black female artist with great performing skills and voices. Yonce can’t do this at this rate forever and there seems to be no one present to carry the torch when the time comes.

Rihanna is her own artist and even she’s entering her 30s. Where are the new crop of 20 something y.o. black female artist?

  11. SMH January 9, 2018

As long as they keep beyonce’s overrated ass away from this, congrats to Tina, its long overdue.

  12. Brotha January 9, 2018

FANTASIA!!! Is the only one I can see doing this justice.

  13. Dingell jones January 9, 2018

I want Beyonce Fantasia to handle this one

    • MusicLovah January 9, 2018

Fantasia…the tribute queen…excuse me..tribute princess cause we know Patti is the Queen.

At any rate, Fantasia…who is a major stan of the Tina…would sure put on a show!!! I’d imagine she slay as she did for Aretha and Patti tributes. We need this but the Grammy won’t do it.

  14. JOHNVIDAL January 9, 2018

No Beyonce please. Just someone else. Something new. Raw vocals if possible. Although it´s impossible to do it like Tina but I don´t know. Whoever, just not the same always.

  15. Trinise January 9, 2018

Fantasia hands down, she is the love child of James brown, patti labelle and Tina Turner, but we all know Beyonce has first preference

    • MusicLovah January 9, 2018

Glad to see someone else recognize Fantasia’s Pedigree. I would also add Aretha Franklin to that mix as well…or possibly go deeper with the Shirley Ceasar and Clark Sisters..but imma stop at Aretha.

  16. Deon pinder January 9, 2018

Why can’t we have someone different other than beyonce… where is Mary j blige, Fantasia or Jennifer lopez

  17. Krista January 9, 2018

Beyonce! Tina loves her and the haters will seethe!

  18. Jose Suarez January 9, 2018

Please have Beyonce do this tribute! She is this generations greatest, and only she can do Tina justice.

  19. Yonce January 9, 2018

I would only like to see Beyonce, Fantasia & Jennifer Lopez (Dancing only) being apart of this tribute.

  20. Courtney January 9, 2018

Beyonce Mary j blige Fantasia Macy Gray, jennifer hudson and Jennifer lopez can do this woman justice

  21. erica January 9, 2018

I’m here for Kelly Rowland paying tribute her ” Mountain High River Deep” performance is really good

  22. Satoya January 9, 2018

    Macy Gray, kelis

  23. Giovanni Versace January 9, 2018

    Lion babe, Beyonce or fantasia

  24. BHYISI January 9, 2018

Fantasia? Everyone isn’t here for a bunch of hollering and clowning onstage.
I would say Beyonce, but she’s already done tribute to her twice.
Honestly, Tina Turner isn’t that great of a singer, one hell of a performer, who I still admire but we often overrate older artist.

If Beyonce, isn’t doing it. Not sure who can besides gravely voice singers.I could hear it vocally for Pink, just less power. Other than that I can’t think of anyone. I know for sure I’ll be turning the channel if Fantasia is performing though.

    • MusicLovah January 9, 2018

      Hi BHYISI,
While I certainly get and understand the Fantasia concern, we’d be remiss not acknowledge that as an R&B artist, Tina Turner was quite the holler queen herself. She was like the female version of James Brown…and song “Fool In Love” kinda exemplifies that. Additionally, we’d be hard press to find another artist capable of pulling of Anna Mae Bullocks husky voice in that song than Mrs Barrino. Granted fantasia maybe a little to flagrant for a lot people’s personal taste. However, when she is on, like she was for the Patti Tribute, very few is F’in with her.

  25. Jermel Brown January 9, 2018

We need some Beyoncé to perform Proud Mary and Angela Basset to present the award!

  26. DanYiel Iman January 9, 2018

That’s amazing & whose going to perform her many hits? A group of artist should be here to salute Tina Turner!!

  27. Jacob January 9, 2018

Fantasia should perform private dancer or what’s love got to do with it, and leave the rest to Beyonce, this would be a good way for Fantasia to showcase that she doesn’t always scream and holler, and show how much of an entertainer she is for those who never seen her live, and that she can stand with the best of what’s out there far as black female entertainers, but what do we know we always up Beyonce and Rihanna a s s and we already know they will only pick beyonce

  28. GenoWell January 9, 2018

Well deserved Tina!!! I pray her Robbie Montgomery get a pic together. Her old friend

  29. Dea January 9, 2018

If the Granny’s want Ratings and the Best turn out for the 60th anniversary…..Beyonce better be performing….and Fantasia….??☺
that’s if Beyonce does not nail her in the foot again????

  30. Frank January 10, 2018

About bloody time. I grew listening to her. Fantastic lady. And when is Cher getting hers????

  31. Liam Begley January 10, 2018

Tina Turner so deserves this accolade…and more ! She is still an example to all of todays ‘stars’ how to be professional, powerful, and a force of nature. Take note of this ladys hell of a lifetime story.

  32. RoyalKev January 10, 2018

Truly well deserved! It’s so great to see Diana Ross (AMAs) and now Tina Turner being honored for their years of service and great contributions to music! Only Beyonce (from today’s music scene) can do this tribute justice!

  33. Belinda January 10, 2018

Happy, Happy for Tina Turner, well deserved.

  34. erdfad January 11, 2018

Fantasia is the only that would give this tribute Justice she is Tina Turner Jr all day

  35. Terri January 13, 2018

Tina Turner The best of the best, Every generation knows TINA she remains on top of all performers, her style, her strength, her love. all of her concerts sell out more than any other artist, male /female. Whenever I know she will be on TV I am there, concerts I am there, DVD I got them all . She’s my hero!!!!! What else can I say ? except She’s the BEST!!

  36. Cookie Williams January 18, 2018

Tina Turner is most deserving of this prestigious award and accolades! Not only did she thrill and entertain the world, i.e., people of all ages, races and gender – she did it under the pressures of marital abuse! Her style, her energy and grace was phenomenal and yes Ms. Tina strutted the most gorgeous legs across the stage – knocking men out and having women say – “I got legs like Tina Turner!” ??

  37. Jesenia January 22, 2018

What a data of un-ambiguity and preserveness of precious knowledge on the topic of unexpected emotions.

I watched 3 and 1/2 hours waiting for an appropriate recognition of Neil Diamond’s Lifetime Achievement Award. It never happened. Totally disappointed. I wish the grammy’s would focus more on the music and edit out polical opinions except when they are expressed in an iconic song. Then the song should be allowed to speak for itself. I did like the skit on the subway featuring Sting. It seemed to be poking fun at artists who take themselves too seriously. It was a breath of fresh air.
