The House rapper Azealia Banks has something to say about her fellow New Yorker Cardi B…and it isn’t pleasant.

After criticising the entertainer’s rise, which she believes is powered by payola, on Twitter, Banks hit out at her by calling her the poor man’s Nicki Minaj.

Amused, Cardi uploaded a video of Azealia partying to her #1 single ‘Bodak Yellow‘ prompting Banks to respond by lifting the lid on what she says is Cardi’s ties to professional prostitution.

Though generally positive, rapstress Cardi B‘s rise to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 has not come without some detractors.  Ask fellow femcee Azealia Banks who, just days after slamming B for offensive remarks deemed “racist” by some spectators, referred to the ‘Bodak Yellow’ performer as a ‘poor man’s Nicki Minaj‘ in a lengthy Twitter rant (click here to read more on that).

It’s the Kardashian trifecta; sisters Kim, Kylie, and now Khloe have all been revealed to respectively be expecting bundles of joy.

That’s right, just weeks after word hit the street big sister Kim and husband/rapper Kanye West were using a surrogate for baby #3 and days after jaws dropped when 20-year-old Kylie Jenner announced her pregnancy with rapper Travis Scott, news was unveiled Khloe and basketball boyfriend, Tristan Thompson, also have a bun in the oven.

While congratulations are certainly in order if true (as Khloe’s pregnancy report has yet to be confirmed by the Kardashian camp), what has been confirmed is that Twitter was in an absolute hilarious uproar over the news.  See some of the best tweets inside:

Two years after saying Nicki Minaj makes “basic ass music,” ‘Ice Princess’ performer Azealia Banks may be having a change of heart (if a recent Twitter rant is anything to judge by).

Already letting her distaste for rising rapstress Cardi B known during a rant days ago, Banks continued her slam of the ‘Bodak Yellow’ beauty last night by referring to her as “a poor man’s Nicki [Minaj].’

This, of course, after news dominated headlines that B had dethroned Taylor Swift from the top spot on Billboard’s Hot 100…

Wendy Williams is at the center of her very own “hot topic.”

As we reported here yesterday, an extensive investigative report surfaced to reveal Williams’ husband of 20 years, Kevin Hunter, had allegedly been having a 10 year affair with a massage therapist.

After using a representative to slam the allegations, Wendy used her own platform – ‘The Wendy Williams  Show’ – to remind viewers she not only does not believe the rumors, but is standing by her man.

For many, the industry’s welcoming of streaming subscription services has seen it combat the evil which was/is illegal downloading.

Alas, the availability of new material on platforms like Spotify, Apple Music and Google Play often leaves fans with little to no incentive to support their favourite act with pure sale purchases.

What this means for labels? A dependency on its older and more established acts to pull in noteworthy numbers the old fashioned way. For Sony, it’s Adele and Beyonce.
