For what it’s worth, King K reigns again.

Clocking its fourth non-consecutive week atop the Billboard 200, Kendrick Lamar‘s fourth studio album – ‘Damn’ – has competition saying just that as it beat out country superstar, Brett Eldredge, for the top spot. The project, a mainstay in the tally’s top 10 since its March 2017 release, added an another 11,000 units (47,000 SPS) to its overall tally just three weeks after being certified double platinum by the RIAA.

While his recapture of the chart’s throne is undoubtedly a win, the troubling figure he accomplished the feat with landed him in history books.  Why?  Because, it’s the lowest weekly total for any artist’s number 1 album  (second overall) since the chart began ranking by consumption units.

As we reported here, Tyler Perry‘s 2016 Halloween-inspired hit film, ‘Boo! A Madea’s Halloween,’ grossed a whopping $74 million, making it the second most successful movie of the ‘Madea’ franchise to date (behind 2009’s ‘Madea Goes to Jail’).

 The comedy horror film’s homerun at the box-offce was undoubtedly the inspiration behind the quick turnaround for its follow-up, ‘Boo 2!’ Written, directed, and starring Perry as the lovable, but troublesome lead character, the film is set for an October 20, 2017 theatrical opening.

It’s finally all systems go for Fergie!

The singer’s sophomore album ‘Double Dutchess’ has experienced a staccato roll-out, dating back to the 2014 launch of “lead” single ‘LA Love (La La).’ Subsequent singles followed in 2016 and then all went quiet.

Until now.

In a unique move, the Black Eyed Peas front-woman is preceding with the project – just this time on her own record label Double Dutch Productions (a joint venture with BMG). She was previously signed to Interscope and released tracks from the LP via them.

Interestingly, those tracks will still feature on the album – as confirmed by the newly unveiled tracklist.

Guests on the set include Nicki Minaj, Rick Ross, and YG.
