Keyshia Cole has seasoned history with reality TV and is adding a new chapter by starring in the upcoming season of ‘Love & Hip-Hop: Hollywood.’

Set for a July 23rd premiere, this cycle of the show – which also stars Brooke Valentine – will see the R&B belle juggling the personal and the professional:

Peep Cole’s official synopsis:

Keyshia prepares for the release of her highly anticipated new album while juggling her co-parenting relationship with ex-NBA star Daniel “Booby” Gibson. Though she may be new to the cast she is definitely already a staple in the industry. Will she able to find the right balance between her music and her personal life?

Here’s her intro…

The ‘Heaven Sent’ singer will be appearing alongside a slew of returning names including Ray J, Princess Love, Teairra Mari, Safaree, Moniece Slaughter, and Miss  Nikki Baby.

************

Some may scoff at Keyshia, but what’s to lose?

It’s a new day and age and with upcoming album ’11:11 Reset’ to plug, a million plus viewers on VH1 every Monday sounds like a powerful platform. As long as she’s not shaking tables or pulling wigs. Although, that has oddly worked for some in the past. Who knows.

In any case…

Folk will have to wait to until November for the series to hit screens, but in the interim Kandi Burruss and co are giving folk a preview of how they’re sounding.

And it’s superb!

Jesse Williams has a serious legal fight on his hands.

After revealing that he is to divorce his wife Aryn Drake-Lee, he now finds himself locked into a war over custody of their children.

Why?

Peep what he had to say in court documents which surfaced online hours ago.

Aryn restricts my time with the children and decides when, and for how long I may have them. She has rejected, without any reason, each and every request I have made to have the children sleepover at my residence. On the few days that I have the children, Aryn has insisted that my time with the children be limited during the week to approximately two and half hours per day, despite my requests for more time, including overnights with the children. I am therefore requesting a court order for a joint physical custody parenting plan.

Aryn tells a very different story via her lawyer…

Protecting the privacy and well-being of their children is of paramount importance to Aryn Drake-Lee Williams. It is unfortunate that Mr. Williams has chosen to draw public attention to this difficult time and transition for their family. Aryn is solely interested in the best interests of their children, supporting a healthy relationship with both parents, and protecting the children’s privacy. Therefore, she will not comment any further on Mr. Williams’ unilateral and unfortunate public allegations.

They are working together on this custody arrangement and staying as civil with each other as they can. They just want it to be seamless. They both want joint custody, so no fighting is involved whatsoever.

TLC are finally set to release their long-awaited final album this Friday.

In giving one last push online, surviving members T-Boz and Chilli have premiered the video for their single ‘Haters.’

Billed (by the group) as a modern take on ‘Unpretty,’ the track sets out to uplift with a message of loving oneself regardless of what the “haters” say.

Interestingly, the visual endorses Lady Gaga’s Born This Way Foundation – which promotes the same ethos.

Check it out below…

We admire the mindset the release promotes, but the song itself is a total no.

Thankfully preceding track ‘Way Back’ remains a bop and gives us a degree of hope that their self-titled LP will bring with it more gems.

Versatility remains the name of LaTavia Roberson’s game this year!

Loved and lauded by Destiny’s Child loyalists, the entertainer continues to soar in her solo journey with the support of fans who eagerly await her next move.

Today, she played it.

How?

By revealing that she is explore her love of dance music and equality with a new single.

‘Best Time’ hits streaming retailers on the 23rd of this month and leads the way for the singer’s next full-length body of work.

Until then…

After surprising fans with a full-fledged mixtape with Ray J, Chris Brown shows no sign of toning down his onslaught of collaborations. The latest– Gucci Mane’s ‘Tone It Down’ – sees the Virginian crooner play assistant on a flossy flute driven track.

The duo – who just recently tag teamed on Brown’s ‘Party’ (alongside Usher) – use ‘Tone’ as a reminder of their baller status…in case any of you forgot.

Ready to get down with Mane & Brown? We thought so. Hear it below:

This Sunday brings with it the 2017 BET Awards and producers are bringing out even more superstars to mark the occasion.

Soulful songstress SZA took ‘CTRL’ of the upper echelon of the charts recently with the release of her long-awaited album debut.

Keeping her momentum going, the TDE star has unwrapped the video for fan favourite ‘Drew Barrymore.’

The vibey visual follows the clip for ‘Love Galore’ and sure enough features an actual cameo from actress Drew Barrymore herself.

Check it out below…

Good stuff.

SZA remains one of the most titillating “new” talents on the block.

Here’s hoping her ascend continues.

In breaking news, it’s been confirmed that Prodigy – from iconic Rap outfit Mobb Deep – has passed away at age 42.

Per his publicist, his death occurred in Las Vegas and came days after he was hospitalized following a performance for complications relating to sickle cell anemia crisis. The rapper, real name Albert Johnson, had long suffered from the illness.

Our sincerest thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
