Mary J. Blige has discovered that the polarising world leader Saddam Hussein spent his last days eatings muffins and listening to her music.
As he awaited trial for his crimes against humanity in Baghdad Saddam, he was watched over by a group of American soldiers who can now speak openly about his behaviour behind bars.
One of them is Mr. Will Bardenwerper who penned the book ‘The Prisoner in His Palace: Saddam Hussein, His American Guards, and What History Leaves Unsaid’.
Will reveals that the dictator would often listen to the radio on the hunt for a jam and would only be satisfied when Mary’s tunes came on.
Alas, the likes of ‘Family Affair’, ‘Sincerity’ and ‘Everything’ did little to save him from his fate as he was executed on December 30th 2006.
