Readers of That Grape Juice know what avid music lovers we are – especially of hits past.

So, as our retrospective features ‘From the Vault’ and ‘TGJ Replay’  allow us the chance to re-spin the gems and jams of yesterday of one artist, our newest feature Chart Rewind – a variation of our current Retro Rewind assay – accedes salutes to an entire era of music history.

This week in 1999 Monica soared to the top of the Hot 100 with her hit ‘Angel of Mine.’  Lifted from ‘The Boy Is Mine‘ LP (read our ode to the album by clicking here), the angelic remake of British girl group Eternal‘s song of the same name dethroned pop princess Britney Spears’ Baby One More Time’ from the tally’s perch.

Becoming Mo’s third consecutive chart-topper (as the follow-up to ‘The Boy is Mine‘ the song and ‘The First Night’), the trio of chart triumphs came as the last time Mo saw her name atop the Hot 100.  Join us below as we salute the impressive run and see who else joined her in the top 25 this week 18 years ago:

Mariah Carey is hitting the promo trail in support of her latest single, ‘I Don’t.’

Taking to ‘Kimmel’ last night (Feb. 15), the singer/songwriter brought along the song’s co-star, YG, to assist with bringing the tune to its first live showing.

Will the outing give the “breakup anthem” a much needed boost to push it north on charts?  Look inside and tell us:

Mariah Carey is off to a slow start with her latest single, ‘I Don’t.’

Branded a “breakup anthem,” the YG-assisted tune’s February 3rd premiere may have been greeted with fanfare after snippets built anticipation, but a full tracking week later it appears that interest waned.  Add to this, getting swamped in the fray of Lady Gaga‘s ‘Super Bowl’ extravaganza and promotional efforts pushing the chart titans ‘Bad & Boujee’ (Migos) and ‘Shape of You’ (Ed Sheeran), it appears Mimi’s comeback tune was forgotten.

And, while we hope next week’s charts see a boost after promotional appearances like her stint on ‘Kimmel,’ it’s not looking promising from where we stand.

Let the back-peddling begin.

Carlos Santana was stung repeatedly by Beyonce‘s #BeyHive this week after making disparaging remarks about the singer in the wake of her Grammy snub.

Well, it appears the backlash has given the legendary artist whiplash; so much so that he’s switched his stance.

After taking approximately no time off, Future is back and readying the release of a new album…this Friday.

That’s right, taking to Twitter yesterday to make the announcement, the ‘Freak Hoes’ hitmaker made fans freak out at news they had just 3 days to prepare for getting their hands on his newest project – a self-titled LP. Following his 2016 chart-topper, ‘Evol,’ the 17-track endeavor will feature Migos, Tory Lanez, Kodak Black, and more.

But, in case that’s not enough, Future is bringing all three of the aforementioned collaborators on the road with him for the recently announced ‘Nobody Safe Tour.’  Also tapping A$AP Ferg and Young Thug for select dates, the trek is set to kick off May 4th at Memphis’ Fed Ex Forum and wrap up June 30th in Las Vegas at the T-Mobile Arena.

Keen to find out if Future and co. will be coming to a town near you?  Find out inside:

Grammy nominated R&B songbird Keyshia Cole is undoubtedly at a crossroad in her career.

A celebrated songstress often branded “this generation’s Mary J. Blige” for her soulful tales of love gone wrong and undeviating appeals to the heartbroken, Cole once held a unique place among her rhythmic contemporaries as her releases – even in the genre’s initial decline – consistently topped charts and defied sales odds.

Yet, as R&B began to succumb to the wiles of fusions (see: trap, pop, etc.), it appeared to threaten the holds of even its heaviest hitmakers, Cole included.  By the time her 2014 release, the critically polarizing ‘Point of No Return,’ hit the shelves, some fans feared she’d reach just that.

Determined to prove the naysayers wrong, Keyshia is back – and as she tells That Grape Juice – better than ever.  Tuck in below to read what she shared exclusively with TGJ about her return to music, reality TV, and even plans to venture into movies:

As anticipation intensifies for the long-awaited release of Sevyn Streeter‘s debut album ‘Girl Disrupted,’ the songstress teams with vocalist Luke James for a romantic vocal serenade.

The R&B pair have teamed up for ‘Nothing Even Matters.’
