Bebe Rexha is getting candid about the underperformance of her new album ‘Better Mistakes.’

The set was unleashed on May 7, armed with the momentum of its latest single ‘Sabotage.’

Yet, the buzz around the song did not translate into sales of its parent LP – which charted at a shocking #140 on the Billboard 200.

This, despite features from a lengthy list of guests such as Doja Cat, Ty Dolla $ign, Lil Uzi Vert, and Rick Ross.

Rather than employing the Pop star tactic of radio silence about commercial failures, Rexha confronted it head-on.

This week, we want to highlight cuts from Majid Jordan, Ali Gatie, Mimi Webb, and Illenium.

However, the out-of-the-box success of its successor – ‘Good Days’ – may be just what the doctor ordered to reignite interest in the GRAMMY nominee’s long-awaited sophomore studio album, the follow-up to 2017’s 2x Platinum, ‘Ctrl.’

Released Christmas Day 2020, the gift of new music for fans is turning into a gift for its deliverer as evidenced by the tune’s impressive performance on streaming and digital download platforms (as we reported here).

Jhené Aiko‘s third studio album, ‘Chilombo,’ reigns as the year’s top female R&B LP from a critical and commercial standpoint.

Released in March, the already star-studded effort – which boasted Big Sean, H.E.R., John Legend,  Nas, Ty Dolla $ign, Dr. Chill, and more among its features – saw that guestlist expanded with big names like Chris Brown, Wiz Khalifa, Kehlani, and more on the deluxe edition released in July. And, while the rumor mill suggests she’s already hard-at-work on ‘Chilombo’s follow-up, she’s still pushing pieces of the project to the masses.

The latest to get the visual treatment?  The fan favorite ‘A&B’ (an abbreviation for above and beyond).

‘I do everything you ask of me (yeah) / Just like that, I take you back / And I still f*ck with you so passionately / Don’t act like you don’t know / I don’t show whenever you call (ooh, oh), yeah / Don’t act like you don’t know (no, no) / I don’t go above and beyond for you (ah),‘ she croons on the moody track.
