Nearly 4 years separate Jason Derulo fans from his last body of work, the ‘2Sides (Side 1)‘ EP, but a consistent release of singles over 2023 suggests the wait for a new project may be coming to close.

Having unleashed ‘Slow Low,’ Body Count,’ ‘Glad U Came,’ ‘When Love Sucks,’ and more over just the last few months (as we reported here), Derulo continues the string of drops by revamping ‘Low’ with a special guest: Mexican singer-songwriter Yng Lvcas.

Putting a Latin spin on the uniquely tempoed cut, the tune comes shortly after Derulo delivered ‘Running (All the Things She Said)’ which interpolates part of the 2002 hit ‘All The Things She Said’ (performed by Russian duo t.A.T.u.).

‘I’m the Problem,’ the long-awaited final R&B album from chart-topping songstress K. Michelle, is set to stomp to digital shelves Friday (September 22).

Already brought to the masses courtesy of previously released songs ‘You,’ ‘Wherever the D May Land,’ ‘Blame Yourself,’ and the #1 R&B hit ‘Scooch,’ ‘Problem’ is delivering yet another bid to capture buyer attention with new song ‘Tennessee.’

“Well, I’m tired of these tears on my pillow / There’s gotta be a better life for me / So I’m drivin’ out to find my hero / I hope he’s back home in Tennessee,” she croons on the Country-inspired cut that tells the story of a woman leaving an abusive relationship to find a good Southern man.

Produced by Claude Kelly and Chuck Harmony, the arrival of ‘Tennessee’ came just days before its official music video dropped Wednesday (September 20). See it inside.

Boasting multiple hits with Chris Brown over the years (see: Stranger Things,’ ‘I Don’t Die,’ ‘Just Let Go,’ and others), rapper Joyner Lucas not only considers the R&B bad boy a prized collaborator but also a close friend.

For that reason he’s never been shy about defending the ‘Under the Influence‘ hitmaker against stark criticism – a stance he reiterated recently amid drama stemming from Tinashe taking to ‘The Zach Sang Show‘ to admit she was ‘embarrassed‘ by her duet with Brown (2015’s ‘Player‘).

The two singers clashed in the past about the LuLou-produced song, but reignited the aged beef after Breezy clapped back by suggesting T’s career was ‘nonexistent.’

When news of the virtual fisticuffs came across the desk of Lucas he quickly took to the net to address the “haters” on behalf of Brown.

So much so, the tune, already ranking as one of her most successful hits of all time, has now been pushed to being her second highest-certified number at the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

Lil Kim is no stranger to controversy and that’s exactly what’s trailing the rapper in the wake of the release of her new Ebony Magazine cover.

As reported, the femcee found herself a trending topic after the unveiling of her spread for the special 50th Anniversary of Hip-Hop issue.

Much of the discourse centered on the level of retouching and digital alterations made to the shoot. So much so that the photographer, Keith Majors, weighed in. He claimed the musician used her own editors for the cover image.

Now, Kim herself is sounding off and is sharing a different version of events.
