The #22 Billboard 200 debut of Rick Ross‘ latest album, ‘Richer Than I Ever Been,’ may have marked a career premiere low for the veteran rapper in December, but that hasn’t stopped him from blazing the promo trail in the project’s support.

Not long after the star-studded set hit digital shelves, the 45-year-old brought its current single – the Jazmine Sullivan and 21 Savage-assisted ‘Outlawz’ – to life via a live performance at ‘The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon’ (sans Savage).

More recently, the duo delivered another bid to get the song into the Hot 100 by unveiling a behind the scenes look at its official Marc Klasfeld-directed music video.

‘BEL-AIR,’ the hotly anticipated reboot of ‘The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,’ takes its throne next month on Peacock. 

Based on the iconic Will Smith-led sitcom, the reimagined incarnation of the show sees it revived as a dramedy – as first seen in Morgan Cooper‘s highly viral 2019 teaser.

Smith is heavily involved in the show’s reimagining as he, Quincy Jones, and Benny Medina reprise their roles as co-producers (after having served in similar capacities during the run of the original).

Rising actor Jabari Banks takes on Smith’s iconic role in the series, which will premiere Super Bowl Sunday (February 13) with three episodes initially and one episode a week thereafter.

As has become its annual tradition, Urban One Honors – presented by TV One and Radio One – is gearing up to salute the accomplishments of Black excellence achieved by individuals who boast extraordinary contributions in entertainment, education, and the community-at-large.

This year’s extravaganza, subtitled ‘The Soundtrack of Black America’ and set to air Martin Luther King Jr. Day (January 17), is hosted by GRAMMY Award-winning singer-songwriter Ne-Yo and has no shortage of big names on its list of honorees.

Sir Elton John and Ed Sheeran may have already topped the U.K. music charts with their holiday duet, ‘Merry Christmas,’ but – as evidenced by promotion on the American side of the pond – the dynamic duo are looking to repeat the feat on the Billboard Hot 100.

Their latest supporting effort came via a visit to ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ recently to deliver a live rendition of the hit tune.

“So kiss me under the mistletoe/ Pour out the wine, let’s toast and pray for December snow/ I know there’s been pain this year, but it’s time to let it go/ Next year, you never know/ But for now, Merry Christmas,” Sheeran sang much to the audience delight.

Kelly Clarkson is bringing the festivities to late night.

For, the original ‘American Idol’ took to ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’ to perform her song ‘Blessed.’ Adorned in a burgundy dress with silver bows, she delivered the holiday tune.

‘Blessed’ appears on Clarkson’s recently released holiday album, ‘When Christmas Comes Around.’ The album is her second holiday one and follows 2013’s ‘Wrapped In Red.’

‘When Christmas Comes Around’ features several high-profile collaborations with Ariana Grande and Chris Stapleton both joining Clarkson for songs.

Ariana Grande and Kelly Clarkson are doing some friendly competition.

For, the two vocal powerhouses faced off in a taste of the new variety game show ‘That’s My Jam,’ where they sang various songs.

Fittingly, their category was “Pop Divas.” Grande kicked the segment – hosted by Jimmy Fallon – with her rendition of Britney Spears‘Oops! … I Did It Again’ while Clarkson started things off with Shania Twain‘s ‘Any Man Of Mine.’

The two then traded songs by such artists as Whitney Houston, Alanis Morissette, and Cher.

Teyana Taylor may have sent her fans into an uproar last year with the announcement that she was set to retire from making music, but she later surprised them with news she wouldn’t hang up her mic until she hit the road one last time.

That North American jaunt‘The Last Rose Petal…Farewell Tour’ – may have just kicked off November 7 but it has already seen Taylor temporarily say ‘farewell’ to the road thanks to an unexpected medical emergency.

It’s Grammy nomination time!

Music’s biggest calendar night, the 64th annual GRAMMY Awards, are set to air on January 31 2022 live on CBS.

The industry’s brightest stars will align to shine at the event, which will boast performances from the creme de la creme.

Today, excitement for the ceremony soared to new heights as its committee reveals which artists have been nominated in which categories.

Jon Batiste leads with a whopping 11 nominations, followed by trio Justin Bieber, Doja Cat, and H.E.R. who all bagged 8 apiece.

Other multi-nominees nominees include Jazmine Sullivan, Lil Nas X, Billie Eilish, and Olivia Rodrigo.

As Halle Berry gears up for the November 24 premiere of her new Netflix film, ‘Bruised’ (in which she also makes her directorial debut), the Academy Award winner’s ego may have suffered a bruise after she was unceremoniously slammed for crowning Cardi B the ‘Queen of Hip Hop.’

Cardi – who leads the charge for the movie’s all-female soundtrack (which arrives on digital shelves November 19) – earned big praise from Berry at the flick’s recent premiere event.

“I would like to say thank you today to Cardi B,” the 55-year-old movie star said. “She was my partner in crime. Of course, she’s the queen of hip hop. I reached out to Cardi and we paired and we created… a soundtrack and an album that is not only historic, but I think is a beautiful backdrop for this story.”

Once diehard fans of other female Rap stars caught wind of Halle’s comments, they flooded her social media handles with criticism.

Taylor Swift is pulling double duty.

After blazing the late night show circuit with an appearance on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,’ she also made an appearance on another show, ‘Late Night With Seth Meyers.’

During her time on the latter, she discussed several topics. However, the most important of which are: what it was like collaborating with indie darling Phoebe Bridgers and how their collaboration came about as well as why she is deciding to re-record her old albums.

Before her appearance on the show, Swift launched her latest re-recorded album, ‘RED (Taylor’s Version).’

Taylor Swift is hot on the promotional trail.

Case in point, the ‘Willow’ songstress made an appearance on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’ to promote her most recent re-recorded album, RED (Taylor’s Version).’

While there, Swift took the time to explain her song ‘All Too Well’ and putting the original 10-minute version on her latest project. She continued the talk about the song, where she went on to explain how the song came together.

However, it would not be a Taylor Swift interview if she did not talk everything Easter eggs, and she does so here as well. Finally, she played a game with the host called ‘Box of Lies.’
