A police officer tangled in a web of lies, deceit, homicide and corruption must race against time to save his kidnapped son in ‘Sleepless‘, the latest movie from Jamie Foxx.

Produced by Roy Lee and Adam Stone, the project is a remake of the 2011 French thriller ‘Sleepless Night’ and will also feature a dramatic performance from the rapper T.I.

‘Birth of a Nation’ creative Nate Parker will watch the movie open in theatres on October 7th with the full backing of a $10 million budget.

This week, as he hopes to dodge questions surrounding the sexual assault allegations he faced during his time at college, he made his way to the T.D. Jakes show to discuss the movie, the dark story behind its title and how he was able to secure the aforementioned $10 million to bring it to life.

With 88,000 downloads sold and a whopping 22.8 million streams its first full week of availability, The Weeknd‘s newest tune – ‘Starboy’ – has zoomed from its debut spot of #40 last week to #3 this week. The Daft Punk-assisted number may even see higher heights next week thanks to a much talked-about live premiere via ‘SNL’ last weekend (watch that here if you missed it).

Yet, while the ‘Earned It’ crooner and co. celebrate their victories, there’s one singer who probably isn’t in the most celebratory mood – Lady Gaga.  That’s right, after ‘Perfect Illusion’ – the lead single from her 5th album ‘Joanne’ – made a moderate #15 debut three weeks ago, the tune plunged out of the top 40 the next week.  And, while fans were hopeful the song’s video would help hoist it upward, this week has proven the exact opposite.  Yep, it’s now dropped out of the top 50!

Lady Gaga just teased a new ‘Joanne’ jam.

With the October 21st release of the album rapidly drawing near, the 2017 Super Bowl Halftime headliner is hitting the radio rounds.

Today’s stop brought her to On Air With Ryan Seacrest.

While in the studio, Mother Monster offered an impromptu rendition of a song named ‘Just Another Day.’

Describing the song – which is the last song on the LP – Gaga told Seacrest:

“It’s probably the most New York-glam-pop song on the album. It’s the one that airs from David Bowie, Mark Bolan, and then maybe from some like obscure, London Metal stuff, The Beatles. It also kind of airs from the electro-clash movement from New York and that’s kind of when I was coming up, was right after that.”

Toni Braxton fans can finally ‘Breathe Again’ with a sigh of relief.

Last night, reports ran rampant that the legendary singer had been hospitalized in Atlanta for four days after a Lupus flare up. Additional word added that rumored boyfriend Birdman had flown to be by her side along with her family.

Confirmation of her health bout has thankfully come paired with news that she is back at home recovering.
