After Lifetime watched their made-for-TV movie ‘Single Black Female‘ march to historic ratings in 2022 (coming as the year’s #1 original non-holiday movie), the women’s network is undoubtedly hoping to repeat the feat with its sequel: ‘Single Black Female 2: Simone’s Revenge.’

Seeing stars Raven Goodwin, Amber Riley, and K. Michelle reprise their roles, the new film takes place three years later and shows Monica (Goodwin) ready to start life anew in Seattle. Unbeknownst to her, Simone (Riley) is cooking up a murderous plot of revenge.

Will she succeed this time?

Finally! After seeing their previous seasons toast the indelible and historical marks made by Albert Einstein, Pablo Picasso, and Aretha Franklin to critical acclaim, the long-awaited return of National Geographic’s anthology series, ‘Genius,’ comes to a close this week with the premiere of ‘Genius: MLK/X.’

Dedicated to the legacies of Martin Luther King and Malcolm X, the eight-episode season will chronicle the Civil Rights icons from their respective teenage years to their rises to fame as globally recognized leaders who – despite having opposing views – both fought the common enemy of oppression and White supremacy.

Drawing parallels in their unique journeys, ‘MLK/X’ – which stars Kelvin Harrison Jr., Aaron Pierre, Weruche Opia, Jayme Lawson, and more – will also examine their respective assassinations in ways never-before seen on TV.

Now she’s looking to do the same with BET+ original holiday flick ‘Whatever It Takes.’
