Beyonce made quite the splash tonight at Marlins Park as she touched down to kick off the long-awaited ‘Formation’ World Tour.

The trek, designed to support her latest studio effort, ‘Lemonade’ (featuring the hit tune ‘Formation‘), launched in Miami as scheduled despite controversy surrounding the tour’s security detail (as reported here).  With listed pit stops in every corner of North America and Europe before a close in Spain in August, the 305’s #Beyhive can boast first dibs on the diva’s first outing since 2014’s hotly-selling ‘On the Run’ tour (with husband Jay Z).

If the (trending) Twitter response and accompanying clips are anything to go by, this show may be her best yet.

Iggy Azalea may just be the only one on her team, as she’s asserted via her latest single.

For, after garnering very little support from followers for her stance on the offensiveness of the term “Becky” (in reference to Beyonce‘s new song ‘Sorry’) yesterday, the rapstress has now taken to Twitter to clarify her thoughts on the hot topic.

Despite an impressive debut sales week from Beyonce‘s highly anticipated 6th album ‘Lemonade,’ pop icon Prince will still see a purple reign over next week’s refreshed Billboard album charts.

As reported here, his albums ‘The Very Best of Prince’ and ‘Purple Rain’ are #1 and #2 this week respectively based on sales amassed in less than 24 hours.  With continued coverage of circumstances surrounding his untimely passing taking over television and radio airwaves, nostalgic fans have run to digital and brick and mortar record stores to pay homage to the fallen singer/songwriter.

Mariah Carey has collaborated in some form or fashion with nearly every top diva in music history (see: Whitney Houston, Diana Ross, Aretha Franklin, Celine Dion, Patti Labelle, etc.).  Now, it appears the 5 octave diva is looking to add another name to the list – Beyonce.

Sending their faithful fan groups (#Lambs and #Beyhive respectively) aflutter when the two were spotted at a charity event together earlier this year, that frenzy was recently sent into overdrive when entertainment reporter Joel Bazile recently lifted a tidbit of info from famed music video director and choreographer Diane Martel‘s private Instagram account suggesting something major is in the works.
