Bobby Brown has entered the chat in the ongoing Usher vs. Chris Brown debate.

Fans of both showmen have not only pit them against each other as this generation’s greatest male performers, but also as the next best thing to the ultimate entertainer: their idol Michael Jackson.

And while Brown showered praise on his industry friend and protege Usher during a recent interview with Shannon Sharpe on the ‘Club Shay Shay‘ podcast, the ‘Don’t Be Cruel‘ crooner gave the crown to Brown when comparing who’s the closest to the King of Pop.

It’s just a damn good week to be Ciara.

When not raking in praise from Coachella viewers who are still raving about her weekend performance with Megan Thee Stallion (April 13), the GRAMMY-winning songstress is seeing her latest single ‘Ecstasy‘ blow up on social media thanks to the popular “defying gravity” challenge.

The increased spotlight on all-things Ciara over the last week (which includes a stunning appearance in ‘L’Officiel‘) has spelled for a handsome opening on the Billboard charts for the April 4-released track.

Fans of ‘Run It‘ hitmaker Chris Brown (affectionately called #TeamBreezy) ran to Ticketmaster to snap up tickets after the R&B superstar surprise-announced his ‘Breezy Bowl‘ stadium tour last month.

And though the shows don’t start until June, demand for the initial slew of dates was so high Brown and team were forced to expand the list of stops just a week after announcing them to keep up.

This week, the 2-time GRAMMY winner is repeating the feat as fans continue to clamor for seats at the highly anticipated jaunt that features Bryson Tiller, Jhene Aiko, and Summer Walker as supporting guests.

While most millennials (us at TGJ included) are still grappling with the fact that 2005 was really 20 years ago, the good folks at Billboard decided to give us a painful reminder by compiling the “Top 100 Songs of 2005.”

Commemorating what they called one of the hugest years in popular music, the staff gave a nod to 2005’s most memorable movers and shakers on the Hot 100 across all genres including Rap, Pop, Rock, Country, and beyond.

Expectedly, massive hits like Mary J. Blige‘s ‘Be Without You,’ Mariah Carey‘s ‘We Belong Together,’ and Madonna‘s ‘Hung Up’ made the cut. However, their positioning on the critical tally was more than unexpected.
