The inaugural Children’s & Family Emmys took over the Wilshire Ebell Theatre in Los Angeles over the weekend for a two-night event to toast to the year’s best family-friendly programming.

JoJo Siwa hosted the Creative Arts ceremony on Night 1 (December 10), and Jack McBrayer signed on for hosting duties on Night 2 (December 11).

Just a day after celebrating the third anniversary of her debut album, ‘Stacked,’ rapper-actress Kash Doll took to ‘Sheen’ magazine Wednesday (October 19) to unveil a stack of gorgeous family photos alongside boyfriend Tracy T, giving the first peek at their 9-month-old son Kashton Prophet.

Glowing on the cover of the mag’s November/December “Life of Luxury” issue, the proud parents donned 50’s-inspired fashion while posing it up in vintage cars with their “billion dollar baby.”

Starring opposite Rainbow Sun Francks, the GRAMMY-winning R&B diva portrays a singer-songwriter who finds love amid her failing music career after a bigger artist steals her song.

Directed by Michael Kennedy, ‘Melody’ was produced by Champlain Media while Tom Berry and Suzanne Chapman lead the team of executive producers.

When not cooking up new music and the next season of Hulu’s ‘Only Murders in the Building,’ singer-actress Selena Gomez can be found literally turning up the heat on the HBO Max original series, ‘Selena + Chef.’

With its season 3 due on screens October 28, the streamer’s looking to whet appetites by unveiling the cooking show’s official trailer.

Keeping in line with its two previous seasons, each episode will feature some of the world’s most sought after and revered chefs while also highlighting different charities and raising money for nonprofit organizations.

Gospel icon Kirk Franklin has been the topic of headlines, ridicule, and criticism over the last few days following the leak of explosive phone audio that saw him launch into a profanity-laden tirade against his oldest child, Kerrion.

During the call, which was recorded and lifted to Instagram by Kerrion, his ‘Stomp’-performing dad threated to break his neck and worse after the 33-year-old apparently made upsetting comments (which were not heard on the film footage).

Nevertheless, while Kirk received overwhelming support from most of his industry friends and fans, some critics believe his actions were totally inappropriate – a response that led the GRAMMY winner to issue a formal apology Sunday (March 14).

H.E.R. has premiered ‘Fight For You’ – the track which earned the singer a Golden Globe nomination for Best Original Song.

The haunting hymn is lifted from the soundtrack for Warner Bros’ ‘Judas and the Black Messiah,’ which chronicles the life of activist Fred Hampton.

Produced by both D’Mile and H.E.R, the track was penned by the 23-year-old songbird alongside Tiara Thomas. 

While taking vocal flight, she sings:

“All the Smoke in the air
Feel the hate when they stare
All the pain that we bare
Oh you Better beware
Their guns don’t play fair
All we got is a prayer
It was all in their plans
Wash the blood from your hands”

A whopping 50 acts – including the likes of Alessia Cara, Kesha, Jason Derulo, Charlie Puth, JoJ0, and more –  assembled for Elvis Duran‘s ‘Stay at Home Ball’ last weekend (with a repeat showing on May 2).

Hosted by Duran in conjunction with iHeartRadio, the livestreamed benefit concert was designed to aid the Project C.U.R.E. Foundation – an organization dedicated to raising funds for hospitals, healthcare workers, emergency medical supply providers, and first responders.
