After earning a moderate hit via his Los del Rio-sampled ‘Ayy Macarena’ (2019), Tyga‘s first single of 2020 – the Megan Thee Stallion-assisted cut, ‘Freak,’ also relies on a familiar tune of yesteryear.

Rapping over a beat that samples Black Eyed Peas’ 2005 hit, ‘My Humps,’ the sexually explicit ‘Freak’ sees Tyga and Meg trade verses about their respective bedroom prowesses.

“Big ghetto booty, bougie, choosy, ain’t giving up the p*ssy for a dinner and a movie,” raps the Houston Hottie.

It also comes on the heels of Normani collaboration ‘Diamonds,’ which is lifted from the ‘Birds of Prey’ soundtrack.

Nearly two months after introducing his latest single to the masses, the Lil Uzi Vert-assisted ‘Pose,’ rapper Yo Gotti‘s called on a little help from Megan Thee Stallion to help the song ride to the top of charts.

Adding her set of fiery bars to the SoundsByBreezy, Ben Billions, & JulianBeatz-produced cut, Stallion can be heard on the track saying:

“Hate me? So what? F*ck these hoes, ayy / I need this p*ssy on his nose, ayy / Spread it, I spread it, I pose, uh / Need a hundred racks for a show, huh,” Meg spit. “They showin’ pics to their doctor, ayy / They say that ‘Megan is goals,’ ahh / He want me to hit him first, hmm / That’ll happen when he in a hearse, hey.”

A reunion of sorts as she and Gotti have swapped bars previously on the remix to Khalid‘s ‘Talk,’ look inside to see if they still have the chemistry that made listeners fall in love with that Billboard Hot 100 top 10 hit:

Those who thought the viral response to GloRilla‘s smash ‘Yeah Glo‘ was a fluke found out the hard way she had more ammo in the cannon.

After that tune’s parent project (the ‘Ehhthang Ehhthang‘ mixtape) delivered her second Billboard 200 top 20 placement, another of its housed tunes – ‘TGIF‘ – started gaining traction on social media.

“It’s 7pm Friday (yup) / It’s 95 degrees (woo) / I ain’t got no n—a / And no n—a ain’t got me / I’m about to show my a– / These n—s love a freak / How the f-ck is that your man (huh) / If he right here with me,” she raps on the vibey track.

Despite the continued top 20 success of its predecessor, ‘Wanna Be‘ (featuring Megan Thee Stallion and later Cardi B on a remix), Glo finally caved to heightened calls to give ‘TGIF’ the official single treatment to capitalize on its ongoing popularity on Tik Tok.

As Megan Thee Stallion fans (affectionately called #Hotties) wait with bated breath for official news about her yet-titled third studio album, she continues to tide over with standalone or specialty singles until the new project is done baking.

After making headlines over the last two months with songs ‘Cobra,’ ‘Alpha,’ and ‘Not My Fault’ (as we reported here), the GRAMMY winner has finally seen her viral tune ‘P***y Don’t Lie’ lifted to streaming services.

“You got one dude, smart and funny (Smart and funny) / Makin’ you laugh, dude sweet as honey (Yeah) / But if he’s so brainy, tell me why can’t he (Huh?) / Figure out a way to put a thrill in your panties? (Yeah),” she relays on the Relaye-produced track.

Fans of Netflix’s longest-running original animated series ‘Big Mouth’ first became acquainted with the racy cut (once referred to as ‘Laws of Attraction’) when Meg was introduced as the ‘Hormone Monstress’ in season 7.

Now, after ample demand, the song can be found aboard Apple Music and Spotify.

A stirring piano-driven hymn, the soulful track sees the potent pair trade verses about risking it all for love, which, by design, mirrors the themes explored in the Blitz Bazawule-directed movie: risk, love, and liberation.

As reported, ‘The Color Purple’ soundtrack (due December 15) will feature the film’s stars Fantasia Barrino, Taraji P. Henson, Halle Bailey, and Ciara. Additional names in the mix (beyond Usher and H.E.R.) also include Ciara, Megan Thee Stallion, Mary J. Blige, Jennifer Hudson, and more.
