Keke Palmer
dances up a storm in the newly hatched video for ‘Wind Up.’

Migos star Quavo, who’s guests on pretty much every song out, makes an appearance on the high-octane release.

Following last year’s ‘Lauren’ EP, the single and its accompanying visual see Palmer on a continued quest to shed her child-star tag and embrace womanhood.

Does the 23-year-old succeed? Watch ‘Wind Up’ below and let us know…

We have ample time for any act that commits to upping their craft – and, watching this, it’s clear Keke is putting in the time and effort. That choreography was great.

The only (slight) drawback is that there could be better management of how she showcases her eagerness. Because at points it felt like she wanted to show and prove with every dance she knew.

Still, in an era where minimalism has become the norm, it’s awesome to see an act go all out.

Chris Brown spent most of April riding atop headlines for showcasing some surprisingly fiery Rap skills (e.g. beef with Quavo and featuring on Nicki Minaj‘s ‘FTCU‘ remix), but now the R&B bad boy has returned to his claim to fame: singing.

Acting as the guest on rising songstress Skylar Blatt‘s new single ‘Wake Up,’ the two trade verses over a feel-good, summery TM88 production.

“Wе should go and wake up / Even though I know it ain’t much, still I’m herе / I don’t wanna fake love / Even though I know it’s fake love, all I feel,” Blatt sings on the chorus.

After dominating the Rap landscape as a duo over the last couple of years, the last few months have seen City Girls spread their wings to show off their respective talents by their lonesome.

While JT is making noise as assistant on Summer Walker‘s latest single, ‘Ex for a Reason’ (click here to hear it), Yung Miami – just a week after featuring on Migos star Quavo‘s comeback solo single ‘Strub the Ground’ – is breaking more solo ground with her new effort, ‘Rap Freaks.’

A short but sweet clip (clocking in under 2 minutes), ‘Freaks’ lives up to its title as it sees Miami don dominatrix gear as she raps about her presence in the industry, rings the alarm to the competition, and puts a few fellas in their places with whips and chains.

With modest airplay, streaming, and digital downloads to its credit since arriving on May 22, ‘Need It’ – the collaborative single of Migos and YoungBoy Never Broke Again has managed to maintain buoyancy on the lower half of the Hot 100 (peaking at #62 to date).

In an effort to push it to higher heights on the tally, they tapped Wyatt Winfrey to direct the tune’s cinematic music video – which acts as nod to The Wayans Bros. 1996 classic parodic comedy, ‘Don’t Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood.’

Reportedly among the gems set to line Migos’ forthcoming album, tentatively titled ‘Culture III,’ look inside to see the visual (which also features a cameo from femcee/Quavo‘s girlfriend Saweetie).
