25 years after Ant Banks and T.W.D.Y.‘s star-studded ‘Player’s Holiday’ became a West Coast staple, P-Lo is breathing new life into the cut by giving it a 2024 revamp.

Buoyed by a prominent sample of Bill Withers’ 1977 classic ‘Lovely Day,’ the updated version – christened ‘Player’s Holiday 25’ – sees the producer call on a slew of the region’s modern-day stars like G-Eazy, LaRussell, Saweetie, Kamaiyah, Larry June, Thuy, and more to toast its relevance in the Hip-Hop landscape.

Accompanying the new song’s arrival with a David Camarena-directed music video, hop inside to hear ‘Holiday 25.’

Over 2024 alone, Saweetie has not only dropped her own singles ‘Immortal Freestyle,’ ‘Is It the Way,’ ‘Richtivities,’ ‘Nani,’ and ‘My Best,’ but she’s also tapped in to play assistant on songs by Shygirl, LL Cool J, 310babii, and others (as we reported here).

And although its unlikely the femcee’s serially delayed debut album, ‘Pretty B*tch Music,’ will be unwrapped before the year’s end, Saweetie (born Diamonte Harper) is hoping to tide her beloved fans (affectionately called the #ICYGang) over by bringing Christmas to them early via her debut holiday singles ‘Big Santa’ and ‘I Want You This Christmas.’

Now, as she reportedly puts the finishing touches on her long-awaited debut album ‘Pretty B*tch Music,’ she’s back with the banging new cut ‘Is It the Way.’

“Is it the way that I walk? (The way I walk) / Is it the way that I talk? (The way I talk) / Is it the way I keep it neat? (Yeah, I do) / Maybe it’s the way that I do me (Uh-huh),” she raps over J. White Did It production.

Saweetie has been quite the busy bee over the last few months.

As her dedicated fans (affectionately called #IcyGang) prepare for her serially delayed debut album, ‘Pretty B*tch Music,’ the GRAMMY nominee has continued to tide them over with new singles like ‘Nani‘ and ‘My Best‘ ahead of its release.

When not rocking the mic by her lonesome, Saweetie has been tag-teaming with some notable names in Hip-Hop like the legendary LL Cool J and, most recently, up-and-coming star 310babii.

“I’m in the space popping gum / Why would I worry ’bout the two? B-tch, I’m the one / I’m on a yacht twerkin’ on somebody’s son / I got a roster full of stars, you got a roster full of bumps,” she spits on the official remix to his breakout hit ‘Rock Your Hips.’

As producer of films ‘Crow: the Legend‘ and ‘Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey’ (to name a few), singer-actor John Legend knows a thing or two about creating family-friendly content.

To that end, the EMMY, GRAMMY, OSCAR, and TONY (EGOT) winner is broadening that portion of his vast portfolio by unveiling his first Children’s album – ‘My Favorite Dream.’

A 10-track affair, the set – kicked off on the wings of lead single ‘L-O-V-E‘ – comes as the follow-up to John’s critically acclaimed 2022 LP ‘Legend.’

“This song captures the spirit of what I always wanted this album to be. I wrote it as an anthem to celebrate our common humanity and bring a smile to people’s faces,” he said about the new tune that features his wife Chrissy Teigen and their children Luna and Miles. “I hope this song is uplifting and inspiring for everyone.”

Featuring GRAMMY-nominated femcee Saweetie, the Q-Tip-produced bop sees the two rappers exchange verses about how they can make the bedroom boom.

“‘Proclivities’ is a fun song about the inner secrets we all have,” LL said. “It’s one of my favorites on the album.”

After teasing her beloved fans (the #ICYGang) earlier this week with with reports of a new single, ‘‘NANi,’ the GRAMMY nominee has unleashed the new tune alongside its official music video.

“Ooh, got that nani, nani, nani/ How she walk through, swingin’ that body/ Yellin’, ’Who gon’ stop me?’/ You ain’t got the time to clock me,” she sing-raps in the colorful clip.
