“I don’t know her”

Mariah Carey immortalised those words in 2002 when quizzed on Jennifer Lopez. A decade and some change since and folk are still talking about the divas’ rumored feud.

Now even more so because the ladies are not only both doing Las Vegas residencies, but as of this week are label-mates again.

During a stop by The Wendy Williams Show today to promote new show ‘Shades of Blue,’ J.Lo was quizzed on Mimi and offered a playfully shady response.

The stage blazer also spoke candidly on her break-up-to-make-up relationship with Casper Smart, her adorable kids, and much more.

ALICIA KEYS - Girl on Fire Promo Shoot and CD Cover

Alicia Keys is revving up the engine of her comeback campaign.

Four long years have passed since she released ‘Girl On Fire’ – which, after selling less than 700,000 copies in the US, is easily her worst performing album to date.

Motherhood has been her priority in the time since (she gave birth to second son Genesis in 2014), yet the singer-songwriter is finally piecing together the puzzle that is her career re-launch.

Cop a gander of Kelly Rowland!

The R&B siren was snapped cutting a killer figure at Paris Fashion Week today in the French capital.

Rowland was one of the many notable names in attendance at the Balmain Fall/Winter 2016/17 presentation.

Back on home soil, an uber brief clip of (what looks to be) a music video for buzz cut ‘Dumb’ has surfaced.

Sunday night saw the ‘#OscarsSoWhite’ debate explode to new decibels when Chris Rock hosted the 2016 Academy Awards.

The comic took a head-on approach to addressing the issue of racial diversity (or the lack-thereof) in Hollywood.

Similarly candid about the matter was Gabourey Sidibe, who we caught up with recently.

The actress, whose role in ‘Precious’ saw her become the 8th black female (ever) to be nominated for the Best Actress Oscar, vented her frustration but also seemed optimistic about the future.

Beyonce-that-grape-juice-2016-formation

Beyonce’s ‘Formation is making moves and moving mountains in the unlikeliest of places.

Cited as one of the reasons MSNBC fell out with the formidable force that is Melissa Harris-Perry, the jam is also to thank for the incredibly high commercial wave Red Lobster is currently riding on.

How? A sexually explicit line in the cut that references the company.

How they handled it? Poorly…but that’s alright, because they’ve now stepped forward to reveal how they intend to make the most out of the surprising situation.

“Cool story but please keep Nina’s name out of your mouth. For the rest of your life.”

That was the message the Nina Simone estate delivered to the actress Zoe Saldana after catching the trailer for the biopic she shot to celebrate the groundbreaking performer’s story.

The movie makes its way to the world on April 22nd and has already been slammed by the entertainer’s fans who, citing Hollywood’s history with colorism as their reason why, see an alarming link between the effort gone to darken Saldana’s skin for the movie and blackface.

iggy elle tgj azealia

Of all her highly publicized beefs (see: Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Q-Tip, Nicki Minaj, etc.), there’s one person it’s pretty safe to say ‘Fancy’ hitmaker Iggy Azalea won’t ever fancy – arch nemesis Azealia Banks.  And, just in case she’d forgotten, Iggy Iggz offered a stinging reminder courtesy of her sit down with ‘Elle’ Canada.

As reported here, the Grammy nominated rapstress graced the cover of this month’s issue of the publication and shared an in depth reflection of her controversial 2015.  Weighing in on everything from her hip hop backlash to her beef with Papa Johns, it appears few stones were left unturned in the tell-all interview.

Yet, while many readers were glued to her thoughts on hot topics like ‘Black Lives Matters,’ they may have skipped right over her direct comments on her ‘Ice Princess’-performing enemy:

Who knew World War III would come in the form of pop diva fanbases attacking each other on social media?

Indeed, Twitter is still home to a battleground between super stan groups #Navy (Rihanna) and #Beyhive (Beyonce) after the former allegedly liked a picture implying ‘Desperado,’ a song found on her 8th opus ‘Anti,’ was better than ‘Formation’ – the latest hit from Bey.

Quickly noticed by members of the #Beyhive, the group immediately went on the defense – stinging Rih and her fans in what later turned into an all out e-brawl.  Get the details below:
